  1. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 09:45 PM) you can find alex gonzalez on the next episode of pimp my foul ball Nicely played.
  2. That is why you DONT BUNT BECKHAM!! Even in a good moment I get upset.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 09:25 PM) Good call here to PH for Alexei! Well done Ozzie Can't tell if you are being serious or facetious.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 08:50 PM) You honestly think Ozzie would ever play Nix over Vizquel? Definitely not. Unless Nix stops hitting homers and becomes "grindy"
  5. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) Lets win it in the 9th. . we are losing waaay too many close games. They will be 2-5 with 27 RS and 27 RA. So yeah....lots of close losses. Need to change that.
  6. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:26 PM) the umpire really blew that check swing I think he swung.
  7. This is where Beckham's inside out swing could prove handy.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:23 PM) s***, oz is gonna squeeze. Not without someone on 1st.
  9. AJ gets the job done. If there is anything this team CAN do right now is roll over on a pitch. Now can Pierre get the job done?
  10. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:18 PM) Tonight will be one of the last nights that happens intentionally. Agreed. I don't believe he had pitched yet this year, so he had to get in eventually. At this point, if Santos continues to pitch well, Linebrink will be mop up duty. With our staff...it will most likely only be in Freddy Garcia games.
  11. QUOTE (Bhay99 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 08:56 PM) i don't get it....he hit the ball hard 4 times on opening day and just got unlucky. He's been swinging the bat better than most of our lineup this year. Give the guy an effing chance Agreed. I realize our offense isn't going to be great, but we aren't going to hit less than .200 as a team for the year. Step away from the ledge.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 07:33 PM) Really? Frankly, I disagree. I would say they are definitely not as strong as they once were. No John Lackey, Jered Weaver is good, Ervin Santana is still recovering from his injury, Joe Saunders is NOT very good, Kazmir is hurt and Joel Piniero would be better served in the NL. They have a bunch of 3-4 starters and Santana if healthy.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 04:35 PM) That is freaking awesome. I was coming to post that rain has dropped to about 10%, but that post just blew my news away. Nicely done. Now I might only need a heavy coat and sweatshirt...leave the rain gear at home.
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 11:29 AM) Anyone booing Teahen already needs to turn in their Sox Card. He's not a star player. He'll never be a star player. And they aren't asking him to be a star player. Just let him be the 8-hole, .270 hitter that he is with 15-20 homers and 60-75 RBI's, and be steady defensive player at 3B. That's what he is. And yes, he's going to strikeout over 100 times. Deal with it. Agreed. I didn't really hear anyone booing Teahen near my section. Kotsay could turn into another Mackowiak situation where a guy is just put in a situation to fail. Mack should have never been in CF, just like Kotsay should never bat 5th.
  15. Also, I am not sure if this was only because it was Opening Day but at least on the lower concourse, a lot more little beer vendors with little movable beer stands. I think they had the Beer of the World in RF corner last year, but I noticed that. A lot more beer choices as well if you are willing to leave your seat. I saw Heineken stands, Heineken Light, MGD 64.
  16. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 09:53 AM) We were all laughing at the 107 mph pitch too. When Westbrook was warming up there was one revved up around 241 MPH. I think it was a little off. Eventually they fixed it, but the 1st couple of innings were quite hilarious.
  17. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 12:55 AM) I would put Cameron before Jones personally (still don't think people know he is still damn good out there) but all in all, I agree with this though a now healthy Sizemore might thump Granderson off the list. I dunno, Adam Jones makes it look effortless out there. Maybe Cameron in his prime, but he has to have lost a step by now.
  18. At the game today. Not only did the team looked dialed in, but the crowd was really into it and most people stayed for the 9th even in a 6-0 lead. Hopefully signs of good things to come. Putz looked good and Thornton looked unhittable. Kotsay 5th could be a potential disaster, maybe Rios can start off well and take his place? I would almost welcome 4 righties in a row Becks, Q, PK, Rios/Jones if need be. It would be really nice if Teahen could start hitting and maybe be moved up, but we will see. Even if they start off well, acquiring a lefty to hit 5th may be necessary down the stretch.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 3, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Yeah, but then all of the shirts would end out out of the park... Nicely played.
