QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 08:57 PM) Meter is the only way to go. Agreed.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 01:24 PM) Opening Day lineup if you exchange Vizquel with Teahen. Hopefully so. Hopefully Ozzie has taken some common sense pills and realized Kotsay is NOT a 3 hole hitter. He is not really a 5 hole hitter either, but it could be worse. Ideally, if Teahen is right I would have him bat 5, Rios 6, Kotsay 7 or 8, AJ 7 or 8 and then Alexei 9. But Ozzie's fascination with L/R/L/R could kill the lineup.

How many games will this team win in 2010?
BFirebird replied to NorthSideSox72's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Barely over .500. 84 wins. The offense just doesn't do anything for me. I almost wish they struggle offensively and KW is forced to look for a bat. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 02:17 PM) After re-watching last nights episode, yes-I'm a loser, I think Richard was left down in the ship so long by the MIB to make him even more desperate and make him more willing to try and get him to kill Jacob. I rewatched it as well and something popped in my head. When Richard saw his wife, I think that it was the MIB taking her form. (I'm sure it was obvious to most the 1st time) He probably was able to get a visualization of her when Smokie was looking at him (probably looking at his thoughts). I wonder how long this has been going on the island and how many people he has manipulated with these tactics? I also agree that MIB left him down there on purpose.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 04:51 PM) Vizquel with a 2 RBI double scoring Castro and Teahen on a hit and run with everyone expecting bunt. Wow. Ozzie really pulling all the tricks out of the bag today.
-
Nice to see the offense getting some runs. Are they getting some hard hit balls or just a lot of bloopers?
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 03:17 PM) Slow ground ball to 3b, Teahen's throw is late. Upton steals, ball goes into CF on the throw, then an RBI single by Bailey. Awesome.

QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Mar 23, 2010 -> 11:36 PM) Good episode. I don't read any of the Lost blogs, or do any research of any kind. I just watch. Finally, this episode cleared up some things for me. I'm still not certain how some of the stuff that happened in earlier seasons/episodes has anything to do with what's going on now, but at least I'm getting some questions answered. Not that it's important, but when Richard was in jail, and he met with the priest, he blessed himself in Spanish (I'm pretty sure). I'm pretty sure he would have done it in Latin in the 1800's because the mass was in Latin then. I could be wrong, just something I noticed. I thought the same thing. I think even when my dad was a kid, the mass was in Latin.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 23, 2010 -> 04:42 PM) That's exactly why I brought up Soriano's name in the "Andruw Jones" thread. He hit .325/.375/.613/.988 with 6 HR last spring. Then he came north, breaking balls started breaking and he finished with an OPS just over .700. I can't believe Soriano was barely over .700. Really? That is pretty poor. Despite hitting only .220 or so, didn't Andruw almost have an OPS of .800?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Mar 23, 2010 -> 04:24 PM) What's the deal with Melton? They grooming him to be a future play-by-play or color guy? Or is he getting paid intern money to do ST games? He should probably pay us to listen to him. He makes Santo sound like a HOF broadcaster.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 20, 2010 -> 07:32 PM) He posted his on the Yahoo site. Ahhh. Thanks.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 20, 2010 -> 05:02 PM) You know what, if everyone else doesn't care. I'll just do that. I don't wanna have to try & re-schedule a draft since I'm sure at this point good times are scarce. I personally don't have a problem with it either, but it isn't my team. :-) On the same subject, I didn't see joeynach's keepers either, unless he just sent them to you. Do you know his keepers? I was only wondering so I can take them off my list of players available.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 10:58 AM) Yeah. Jordan Danks was black with cornrows, but that's easily fixable. I made a pretty darn good Danks2 cap, actually. The rosters are fine and dandy and I'm now actually enjoying a franchise. Yeah I just started, still in ST. I haven't fixed Danks2 yet, I will get around to it eventually. They also have Santos throwing sidearm. He doesn't throw sidearm does he?

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 02:16 AM) I really hope they release an unfinished version so I can start my franchise soon. I hate how they go team-by-team, though because it's hard to start a franchise with teams that are not completed. I would rather they at least do the top100, release a version, and then do the rest. The top 100 is all I really need. I mean, that would include Mitchell, Flowers, Hudson, and Danks. And that's good enough for me. The Complete+Minors that Steve was talking about include them. It also includes Trayce Thompson, Phegley and of all people KW, Jr.
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 18, 2010 -> 05:30 PM) Yeah, let me know what you think of those. I am waiting on the OS Rosters as well, but they are still about 3 weeks away, and I don't know if I can last another week. They are pretty good. I think I found the one that Steve was talking about and its close enough for me. I'm sure it isn't as good as OS' rosters will be but they will work for me. I just couldn't stand waiting anymore, while I wasn't quite dominating RTTS like Kalapse over there I was doing pretty well as a pitcher. I need to work on hitting and going up to bat 4 times a game isn't much practice.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 17, 2010 -> 04:58 PM) Lyons actually said Oz said disregard all history, who is the best player right now. Can we really trust Psycho Lyons on these things?
-
That being said...I like the fact that we actually have some options and players that can play multiple positions effectively.

QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Mar 17, 2010 -> 04:52 PM) He was a few injuries ago. I think it is a disaster waiting to happen to put him out there as he has not been a model of health for a couple of years. His bat is needed moreso than the CF defense. Agreed. Unless they are thinking of DH'ing Quentin and putting Rios in RF. I gueeeeesss that is alright. Putting Rios in RF really diminishes his value I believe.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 17, 2010 -> 11:51 AM) It was just called Complete+Minors, and I checked and things were mostly accurate. For the big spects, I edited appearance to my liking. I've been following O.S. and it seems like those will never come out, I couldn't wait any longer. I know the feeling. I have been doing RTTS forever now, I have wanted to start a Franchise but was waiting. I will check out the one you mention and see...it will probably be good enough for me.

Lets get US Cellular Field in Google Earth!!
BFirebird replied to joeynach's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Maybe it will give me something to do at work...besides doing work. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 17, 2010 -> 08:58 AM) My God this game is great. A wonderful full minors roster was released so I finally got to start a season. I tell ya what, feisty, when you put real at bat music in and queue up "Boom" perfectly for Bobby coming in, the s*** seems real. It's also nice to be able to hold my own at the plate now. It's not like I score 10 runs a game (though I did score 9 last night, TCQ was 1-2 with 2 bbs and a homer, and Andruw Jones of all people pinch hit in the 7th, got a 3 rbi double, and then in the 8th was up again and got another rbi double)... that Indian's bullpen sucks. It's really a great, great game, and it's nice to just have a batter's eye capable of not striking out every at bat anymore. Kev's suggestion of learning the zone and look of pitches on rookie before going to veteran was definitely the key. Which full minors roster did you use? I was waiting for O.S. Full Minors.

2005 Opening Day re-match!!! Buehrle vs. Westbrook. Hopefully it will be the same result in October!
-
QUOTE (jphat007 @ Mar 16, 2010 -> 04:56 PM) Please help feed my laziness. Who are we thinking will likely be pitching for Cleveland to open the year against us. It would be Westbrook, no? Either that or Carmona.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Mar 16, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) He's slugging .692 this spring. Though that .462 average may be tough to keep up. He is on his way to winning the Pablo Ozuna ST Award.

So it looks like Sweaty Freddy gave up lots of hits with 1 run. Did he look alright?
