  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 07:06 PM) Brian up to .177. Creeping towards .200
  2. BA looking comfortable at the plate today.
  3. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 07:00 PM) Uribe doubles. For some reason, this reminds me of the Colorado series from last year. I was there and I hope you are right because that was an offensive explosion. That ball Frank hit is still bouncing off the rocks out there in CF.
  4. Wow Claussen really is this bad...that was a meatball to Uribe.
  5. Widgenator with the surprise bunt...we now havew our 4th best bunter.
  6. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 06:57 PM) Hey, a 1-2-3 inning, lets make a habit of it FG... You are funny.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) Garcia is so f***ing terrible. He can't go on the DL soon enough. Where's the dumbasses arguing how many quality starts he has, etc. Quality start and Freddy Garcia don't belong in the same sentence as of late.
  8. Why is Rich Aurilia hitting 4th and Dunn 5th?
  9. I'll say it with you...Go Cubs!! That was weird to say.
  10. QUOTE(rudylaw @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 04:55 PM) Isnt he the guy that Sox fans were begging to get a few years ago? Yeah...he was a part of the alleged Andruw Jones deal.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) Actually, you couldn't be more wrong. Dye's in the perfect spot. He's our best overall hitter right now. If he was batting 3rd, he'd be batting behind Pods and Iguchi. However, in the 5 spot, he's behind Thome and Konerko. Thome and PK are two of the better guys at getting on base. Thus, Dye has the ability to knock them in, and it doesn't always have to be with a homer. Thome's not the type of hitter who's going to hit sac flies, etc. It's one of the main reasons I hate playing small ball in front of him. fathom is exactly correct on this one. Dye not only does a great job at knocking in Thome and PK when they get on base he is really comfy in the 5th hole without the pressure like hitting 3rd.
  12. Big win...keep up with the Kitties. Mark hopefully has found a groove here..need to get the starters going to put together a nice string of wins. Playing in the NL parks should provide our pitchers an easier lineup to face...should dominate the NL Central teams in their parks.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 09:41 PM) I'm Mr. Pessimism...but I couldn't believe some of the s*** I was reading last night. Someone compared it to the Hunter/Burke play. :banghead Yeah I don't think it was that bad...the only thing I didn't like was how Ozzie yelled at Tracey.
  14. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 09:39 PM) btw guys, I wouldn't be surprised if last night's game was the start of a long losing streak. ?
  15. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) Could get interesting here if Ozzie has a guy plunked. Wait until we play them at the Cell...no automatic suspensions probably then.
  16. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) Javier Lopez on ESPN2 for the Red Sox 3-0..walk
  17. What was Pablo doing on that play? There were 2 outs.
  18. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) Benoit is to pitching, what Mike Hargrove was to hitting. (In his playing days, Hargrove was nicknamed "the human rain delay" for his routine between pitches.) Human rain delay himself.
  19. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) Is it possible for Benoit to pitch any slower? Seems like a half hour between pitches. If his name was Arthur Rhodes he could. Pablo can sub in for Crede tomorrow...he has been struggling. Have Pods and Pablo go 1-2.
  20. QUOTE(bulokis @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) The best way to avenge the loss and plunking last night. Exactly...beat them on the field.
  21. QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) Pablo is the ultimate bench player. I don't know how you can be so good playing sporatically like that. He's incredibly valuable... Pablo = clutch
  22. Buehrle has pitched well thus far...the scoreboard lights must be out.
  23. Pablo is the only guy that can bunt on the team.
  24. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:49 PM) Diving catches look flashy as all hell. Jonny Gomes had a play earlier in the season against the Sox where he 1.) Got a s*** jump on the ball 2.) slowed down half way to the ball in flight 3.) fell down at the last second unnecessarily This play was considered great by those fellers over at ESPN when any RF worth a s*** would have been camped under the ball making the catch with ease. AKA Jim Edmonds
