QUOTE(jackparkman @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 03:09 PM) I go to about 25 games a seson and sit in either sec 111 or 160 and I have seen the same to vendors for alomst 10 years now and was curious if anybody knows who I am talking about. In sec 111 is a guy I have heard other people talk about in this section and everybody knows him as Scottie Pippen. Guy looks exactly like pippen In 160 it it the Lemon Chill guy who is about 60 years old and is one of the scariest people i have ever seen. Pippen is a classic...along with MIIIILLLLEEEEAAAHHHHH LIIIIIGGHHHHTTT and I saw the Lemon Chill guy and the Texas game on friday for the first time....he scared the crap out of my gf.

Huge win...the bench comes through again. (Even though Cintron started). When Jenks has his curve going he is unhittable. Need to do better with RISP and situational hitting but a step in the right direction. Keep it up boys. -

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) Look at the park he's pitching in. Hasn't helped Bonderman as much...I'm not saying he is the greatest thing since sliced bread....but he has good stuff and has a good fastball. Liriano will probably be better though. They both help out my fantasy team a LOT this year...considering where I drafted them. -

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 07:38 PM) He just gave up a walk as well and now its 1st and 2nd with nobody out. It's nice to see him get his ass handed to him I was getting tired of hearing about how great he is. 7-3 2.55 ERA 39 k's 16 BBs 1.10 WHIP for a rookie is pretty damn good. -

QUOTE(fathom @ May 26, 2006 -> 07:28 PM) Or if some of our guys cool off (Dye, AJP, etc). There's not a doubt in my mind that KW is going to be in the market for another center fielder in the coming months. The problem is...what will really be available? There are too many teams that will be in the race or think they will be in the race to give up good players. Crawford may become available...but at what cost? -

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 26, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) How many at-bats until Anderson gets a hit? I'm setting the over/under at 8. I'll take the over -
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 24, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) 28 pitch inning for MB. That was ooogly. At least it's over unscathed. indeed..I believe runs will be hard to come by versus Haren tonight

QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 24, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) Randy Johnson sucks. It's funny to think back about all the things we were offering to try and get him. He's just terrible now. He has lost some velocity...therefore people don't chase his bad pitches anymore. He never really had any control...it is just easier for the hitters to see the bad pitches with the lack of velocity.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 24, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) JD down to .556 average with RISP and 2 outs. LOL...Still pretty damn good in my book.

QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 24, 2006 -> 12:03 PM) I believe the Sox try to have everything, except for maybe the Tacos. Yup....no tacos in the UD. I think everything else is upstairs.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 20, 2006 -> 11:56 AM) I thought the DH rule had been modified so that the AL Manager can ask the NL manager if he's no problem with them DHing? That is during Spring Training.

I'll be there plus 9...sporting my Paulie K sleeveless jersey.

I think he just had a bad inning.

Just got home from the game...very nice crowd for a tuesday evening...around 36,000 and very vocal which is always good. Freddy looked very good today and that was about complete of a game as you can play. They fielded well, pitched well and scored 9 runs...can't ask for anything more. Keep it up boys. -
While we are getting a lot of homeruns, 37 coming into today, we are not sitting back waiting for them like past years. Back in the day of the all righty lineup, if the Sox did not homer they did not win, played terrible defense and the pitching was suspect. kapkomet has it right, pitching and defense will eventually win it for them and they will find ways to scrap together runs, whether it be smartball, homerun ball or whatever. The good thing about this team is their versatility....offensively they can do it all. They can do whatever it takes to win. Wednesday was the best example of this, Pablo hits the game-tying homer and then in the 11th, gets the hustling double putting himself in scoring position to win. Everytime I watch them I think of the way the Yankees played in the 90s. Good pitching, defense, not a ton of stars, and clutch hitting....that is what makes the Sox a cut above of everyone else.
