  1. DAMN! Does Griffey loves playing on a crummy Cincinnati Reds team that much? We need somebody with some offensive spark,and fast.Because if we're gonna score two runs or less a game,our pitching staff might burn out too soon.
  2. I think Solider Field should have been a tad higher than 17th.I was there against Oakland two,three years ago.And it's not great on the outside,but great on the inside. P.S.:"Monster" Park in SF?
  3. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 09:45 AM) No, the O-Line WAS paper thin. I dont believe it is anymore. In fact, I think its gonna be very good this year. I hope you're right.
  4. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) They may have to move that wall back a bit in Williamsport. Some of these kids clear it with half swing line drives. Great game,great finish. But you're right.The kids hit in that park,like some Major Leaguers do at say,Minute Maid Park,or Fenway Park,etc... They got to move the walls a little.
  5. QUOTE(rangercal @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 12:59 AM) Thomas is the man I'll drink to that!
  6. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 09:05 AM) If Thomas stays healthy(which is a big IF for any running back, and a little moreso for Jones) I predict a big year from him. He almost made 1000 last year and he missed alot of time. Agreed. He's a great RB,but like someone said,the offensive line is paper thin.Jones is not great,but good enough. Ced Benson,glad he signed.But now,he better get his ass in gear.He already did his Curtis Enis-like holdout,I hope he doesn't play like him too.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) What's the chances that some of the games in Texas are rained out because of the impending hurricane? If the offense is like today,i hope it's a good chance.
  8. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) That's true, Moyer still is pitching. But,he threw like 40+ pitches in the two innings of work.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) How could Garcia get the win then? Sorry to say,but today,....he won't.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 04:02 PM) He'll be in for 6 innings no matter what. Where have you been all season? The way things are going,Garcia may not see inning #5.
  11. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) It is all about the stretch run. The writers don't remember how a pitcher performed in April and May. They rememeber what the guy did in Aug and Sep, and Halladay killed E-Lo during that timeframe. That is also how Santana won it last year. Whoever has the best Aug and Sep will win the award. Right now I would say the voting would be: 1. Colon 2. Rivera 3. Buerhle 4. Garland 5. Santana The worst thing for the Sox is that Mark and John will take votes away from each other. Jon. Did Rivera get on that list thanks to his Yankee-lovin' friends at ESPN?
  12. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) Yeah right, Thomas for Sexson! Say that again?
  13. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) M's came to play today, Sox did not. Plain and simple Guess they want no part of the AL West basement.
  14. QUOTE(atrain081 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) Where's the defense????? I don't know.But they better find it,fast.
  15. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) No, NOT AT ALL. The twins game is still fresh on my mind... If you pitched a one hitter,and loss,I think it would be on anyone's mind. But DAMN!We got to get out of this one,and fast.I don't want a 8 game lead.
  16. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) 43 pitches for Moyer through 2. Get em GET EM!!! We need some runs. I say,by the fifth,his arm will be pasta.
  17. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) Twins loss, we'll take it. Twinkies loss,great. Indians loss,would have been better.
  18. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Twins lost after Mauer's error 2-1. Nelson Muntz said it best. HA,HA!!!!!!
  19. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) Sexson's out!!!! There goes Seattle's big bopper.
  20. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) Oh, God damn it. You could say that,again.
  21. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) This game's not important, as long as we win the series. Well,maybe.But Cleveland won today too.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) The B squad defense strikes again. Hoo,boy.
  23. QUOTE(Tadahito15 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) 29 pitch inning for Moyer. not bad Allright!Let's make that punk work his arm off.
