  1. I was under the imperssion that hes going to throw in the game on saturday.... Hmm gonna have to check on that
  2. Loiza is the 4th starter now.... Wright and Stewart fighting for the 5th... and of those i think the only question is wrights health....
  3. Wright isn't a lock yet. J Stewart pitched 5 scoreless innings today I think stewart might be better served by getting regular starts in AAA
  4. Lets hope you are right. Because i would really like to see what miles can do in chitown... Dont know how much PT he'll get though....
  5. I really doubt sox fans would do this... just by seeing how few votes maggs has gotten over the last few years... and hes one hell of a player...
  6. We got Armando Rios to be a back-up -- not a starter. And you're right, Harris does not belong in CF. He belongs either on our bench as a back-up 2b or EMERGENCY CF'er, or down in AAA. And there would be no reason to put Miles in CF. If he's on this team, he needs to be in the IF. Harris and Miles in the infield, Rios on the bench. We need consistency to be successful this season, not people moving around all the time. That is not the way to win. Yeap, I believe someone else her brought up the fact that harris isnt being helped by moving him around so much... consistency is what we need.

    10 days!

    You arnt the only one
  8. Thats amazing. Stewart is what 24?hes really broken out over the last year.... Well, while Josh is having a very impressing (and quite frankly, surprising IMO) Spring, let's not start saying he's "broken out". The key word in my previous sentence was "Spring". Let's give him some starts when it counts and see how he deals with it. I predict that even if Josh doesn't start the season in the rotation, he'll be in it by the end of the season (because quite frankly, I can't see Loaiza being as effective as he has been for the full season). Plus, having him in the rotation would give us better balance (3 righties and 2 lefties as opposed to the 4/1 that it is now). This season could be great guys. Agree with him giving up more balance in the rotation... The broken out comment was not based solely on ST... but i believe he came on strong at the end of last year in the minors and also had a great AFL.....
  9. Thats amazing. Stewart is what 24?hes really broken out over the last year....
  10. Anyone kno if there is a box score out for todays game yet???

Hi Josh Stewart, Welcome to the White Sox. - Pete Gotta remember hes way behind now... give him another week. believe hes supposed to throw on saturday... see now he does... they said he wasnt going to cut it loose this time out... wanted to make sure hes still pain free...
  12. What is our season ticket base up to....

    Harris/Miles

Would have to agree... i dont think that harris will ever be able to hit ML pitching...
  15. I was one of those guys..... and just last week I posted that Loaiza has outperformed and outpitched Rauch and Loaiza should be awarded the starting position I was lobbying for Rauch. Given the way Rauch pitched the at the end of 2002's season, I thought Rauch would be able to outpitch Loaiza. I was wrong. he out preformed himself?
  16. yes he was... berry/barry was the other player we were supposed to recieve in the baldwin trade... He did very poorly when he went to the dodgers system.... but he was one evans wanted cause he knew him when he was with the sox... Rex is very high on him, and hes a fairly good judge of talent...

    Harris/Miles

I'd like to see that. Yeap, we've given harris a shot... hes doing poorly this spring... lets give miles a go... see how he does.
  18. Forgive me but i have no idea what that stat is.... some insight plz? They're stats from Baseball Prospectus... Kind of hard to explain without getting really long-winded... MLV (Marginal Lineup Value) is a way of measuring a player's productivity. It essentially states how a lineup of 8 average players and the player in question would compare to a lineup of 9 average players. MLVr translates MLV to a rate of production. To give you an idea of average MVLr's for certain players, here are some examples from 2002... Barry Bonds... .955 Sammy Sosa... .395 Magglio Ordonez... .360 Josh Paul... -.254 Essentially, a positive MLVr indicates a player who performed above league averages and a negative MLVr indicates a player below league averages. PECOTA is way harder to explain. It's a new system of statistically project players. I would encourage everyone to get Baseball Prospectus 2003.... Really is the must-have for die-hard baseball fans, IMO. Intresting stat... i think i might go pick that book up...
  19. Indeed, dont get insight like that everywhere...
  20. Garland was rushed up to the majors... hes held his own... hes just begining his career... erstad has injuy concrens. we wouldnt have dished out the money to resign him.... the trade would have made our staff even worse...
  21. Can you post a link to where one may view said pics?

  23. Forgive me but i have no idea what that stat is.... some insight plz?
