We can get rid of Jose at the end of the year... albeit we have no one else to play SS. Lee must be dumped as well. I wish we could move kong and thomas. but we are STUCK with those two. Colon is someone i would like resigned to a 3-4 year deal MAX!

I think Rex hit it on the nub in another of these threads... Borchy will turn it around... but only after being sent back to charlotte.... he needs this taste of MLB... and go back to the hitting coach he was doing well with (now at AAA, with walkers promotion)

I wouldn't go comparing Biddle to Smoltz just yet by any stretch of the imagination. I still think it was a damn good trade and that I'd rather have Colon than Biddle, Liefer, and Osuna. Biddle was good, but just didn't fit into the plans here. Osuna was a short reliever/setup man... those are almost a dime a dozen it seems. Liefer... well... is Liefer. Getting a #1 stud like Colon (and a damn good workhorse who will put his team ahead of himself... ask Jerry Hairston) for 2 expendable guys and one guy that wouldn't have been able to do much with the team is good, IMO. Not comapring the two... just saying... ERA is inflated right now... perhaps due to just one bad outing... you think Koch's ERA is gonna recover this year?

Since we are barely a quater of the way thru the season... his ERA maybe higher then normal due to the fact that he may have had just one or 2 bad outtings... Remeber smoltz last year... one bad outing took him 4 months to get that era looking half normal...

Not only did we pay half of ray ray salary... and recieved JON f***ING ADKINS! but oakland will rcieve the gaints 1st round pick. PLUS a comp pick for losing him to FA. So we traded 2 first rounders and half a mill for jon f***ing adkins! soon to be a 6 year minor league FA! And dont tell me there was no demand for durham... the brewers traded tyler houston to LA for a couple of stud pitching prospects around that same time.

I really doubt the d-backs wanna give up any of their cheaper younger players... thats what they are looking for in return.... Yeah thanks, that's what I thought. This team never has never been fundamentally sound.......in fact I wonder what the hell the Sox definitions of fundamentals are. f*** this god damn organization. CWSOX45 I agree with you that this team has never been fundamentally sound.... but this org still has a few good things.... we just need a shift in power..... towards some of those things... would love to see Fontaine made GM... Coaching at AA and below has been good if not great... and more importantly constant! Its just the top two lvls that are kinda screwed up... That's true, but the organization won't do anything until it's too late. Look at Billy Beane, when his team is struggling he makes a trade and usually they rebound and go on 18 game win streaks and such. This organization is clueless. CWSOX45 hehehehehe....
