  1. If there is an admin that can assist over at Talkbears? I'm a mod and getting a warning from Invision that PHP 7.4 is end of life and in November the minimum requirement will be PHP 8.0. I could not find a way to upgrade in the Invision Control Panel, so this must be done by the hosting provider or by the server admin. Can an admin assist? I don't know if Soxtalk is already upgraded or will have the same issues next month. Thanks, Adam
  2. What version of IPB is Soxtalk using? The newer version has a mobile skin which is much nicer to use on phones and tablets.
  3. VAfan, Great analysis, just doing a simple WAR comparison with the additions and subtractions, it looks like we will improve by about 16 games according to WAR if players perform comparable to last year. New pitchers adding 7.2, pitchers gone giving us 4.1 back (pitching nets us over 11 games), and new batters adding over 5 and subtractions almost a wash. It feels like Bellisario alone will give us about 10 wins back.
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 30, 2013 -> 05:17 PM) Pretty high average, pretty long term. It wouldn't shock me if we end up disliking this contract quite a bit. With that said, I'm glad to have him back. He is just coming into his own. I can only imagine him getting better with more playing time, especially on the top line.
  5. 2/3 of the Forwards on the ice for the winning goal are gone. Frolik's play on the PK will be missed. However, saving $5.7 in cap space AND picking up 5 draft picks is awesome between the 2 trades. We got the 2nd and 3rd rounders back that we used in the Oduya trade. which allows the Hawks to do this: http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id...vid=DL|CHI|home
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 25, 2013 -> 06:44 PM) I was just thinking, how often do you see both goaltenders pulled at the end of the same game? Yeah and literally within less than a minute of each other. How many teams have won a decisive game for a championship when losing with under 1:30 left? and who the hell chooses the 3 stars? Lucic the #1 star, lol, should've been Chara.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 25, 2013 -> 06:44 AM) That was, seriously, the most ridiculous end to a sports game I have ever seen. That type of amazing, clutch s*** just does not happen. Geoff Blum previously held the "omg that just happened" play of my lifetime, and that has now been handed over to the tandem of Bickell and Bolland. Twenty four undefeated games to start the season combined with the ridiculous comeback against the hated Red Wings AND the downing of the "unstoppable" Jonathan Quick and Tuuka Rask = best.season.ever. Eat s***, Bruins. See you turds on Friday. I am still in shock, it was epic. After the Lucic goal I was just hoping for a tie to take it to OT, then Bicks scores right as Crow comes off the ice. The Bolland goal was simply shocking. Those 58.3 seconds could not tick off fast enough. I am still giddy 24 hours later.
  8. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 08:56 PM) While this was a one goal game on the scoreboard, the Hawks thoroughly dominated in all facets. If this game is any indication of how the rest of the games are going to go, I think we're in pretty good shape. I agree, could've easily been 4-0 with the same type of effort. Kane is so close to breaking out and Saad is due. Great game all around, the Hawks controlled the tempo for most of the game. Good to see Boston win, I hate Pittsburgh. They took away home ice and can win the series in 6 if they take care of their games at home.
  9. Bolland with a nice hit to spring the puck, and Seabs with a great shot and first goal of the playoffs.
  10. Players even tweeting now how bad that was. I am still in shock, wow.
  11. That is 2 goals taken away this series, there was also the phantom interference call on Shaw. Has to be one of the worst calls in history, Game 7, 3rd period, tie game, and you call a penalty away from the play?
  12. After all the non calls you call that crap behind the play? Wow that was bad. Refs are not supposed to play into the outcome of the game, and they did right there. They could've still called the penalties after the play.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 27, 2013 -> 08:44 PM) Great 3rd period by the Hawks. The one thing this series has done is make me sad that Detroit is going back East. This is such a great rivalry, and not a BS one based on some cheap shots like Phoenix or Vancouver. Yeah, one of the best rivalries will be lost. Detroit doesn't mind though because they won't have to lose to the Hawks so much in the future.
  14. Weak play after that faceoff, come on Hawks, finish this! Bad penalty by Hossa.
