  1. Maybe that's part of Ozzie's master plan: To take pressure off of the team.
  2. Why anyone would want Lew Ford is beyond me, unless they're lonesome for Dave Gallagher. Have any of you guys ever seen him play? He brings NOTHING to the table...5th OFer at best. He's a poor man's Eric Byrnes. Just because he gets a few clutch hits against us doesn't make him a good player. Now Brady Clark is a good idea. Lew Ford? Christ, you might as well keep running BA out there while saving your prospects.
  3. Good work Montero (and Cotts)! Like a previous poster said, this cannot be a 4-man bullpen. Those guys will be burnt-out by August. Until we go out and get BP help, we will need to rely on Montero and/or ST from time-to-time. Hopefully, Montero will get some positive momentum out of this outing.
  4. I like the Montero call by Ozzie, regardless of what happens. It's a long season; let's see what Montero's made of...
  5. No kidding. Nobody is perfect, even Crede, who is usually amazingly clutch. Save you displeasure for someone who REPEATEDLY makes mistakes (i.e., Uribe).
  6. Well, he's on the staff...You have to use him sometime. You can't use BOTH the newbies (him and Tracy) in strictly mop-up roles.
  7. Isn't now the portion of the program when everyone here talks about how great Nate Robertson is, and how we should be afraid of the big, bad Tigers?
  8. Unless you take into consideration BA's lack of batspeed...Another OF prospect nicknamed "LTP" had a slow bat as well...
  9. Bulls***. Just like Garland "broke through" last year? Eventually, Nate Robertson will go back to pitching like Nate Robertson...The only question is whether it will happen this year or the next.
  10. No, it's not alright. Watch our "O" sleepwalk for the next 5 innings against the great Nate Robertson.
  11. Well, I guess we should just lay down and die.
  12. Well, Ozzie had the Sunday lineup in full force today...What do you expect? I'm actually impressed that we were able to score 2 runs. Basically, Ozzie put MB in a position where he had to pitch a perfect game to win...And the Rangers can swing the bats a bit, in case you hadn't noticed.
