  1. I love it! I even made a post last night about this subject on my blog. I was upset about people talking about a curse. White Sox fans don't believe in such crap and I said in my closing sentance, "Shoeless Joe is in the stands with us cheering on the pale house."
  2. what was with that last night. I was watching and I could not understand why A.J attempted to steal second. Did Crede mess up but not laying down a bunt? Or by swinging because instead he took the pitch.
  3. I just turned on the news on NBC and they showed a highlight saying that Cub fans in support of the white sox made shirts saying "bi-sox-ual". Stuff like this makes me wish the Chicago Cubs never existed. nothing against bisexuals, It just bothers me that these cub fans think they're funny and go to the Cell wearing those shirts just to jump on the bandwagon. :banghead
  4. This has been bothering me for some time now. When game 3 started with our series against Boston, Chris Berman went on to say "Can White Sox redeem themselves from the curse of Shoeless Joe?" Correct me if I am wrong, I thought that curses were a Boston and Chicago Cubs sort of thing. Their excuse for losing all these years. I thought we as White Sox fans don't pay any attention to such crap. When did we start believing in that Shoeless cursed the Sox? Or is this one of Chris Berman's many moronic statements during the series? BERMAN :finger
  5. I understand that ESPN is Broadcasting the playoffs but seriously Why can't they have Hawk and some Boston commentator in during these games. One commentator from each team. Its better than Berman.
  6. If i set these images to the post from the website they will block the photos. Something about stealing bandwidth or some crap like that. Most are Rap Artists. So I just posted the links enjoy. 7. I remember Wells having back spasims during a game against the Cubs when he was with the Sox. But what else did he do to piss us off. I remember something about him leaving on bad terms or something.
  8. I know Ventura liked commentating with Hawk and DJ Ventura might not mind doing radio for the Sox.
  9. “YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS!”--- Peter Griffin Did anyone catch Drive in 05; it was kind of a recap of the White Sox season. I really can't stand Chuck Garfien but he had an interesting interview with Aaron Rowand. There was a point in the interview when Garfien asked Rowand driving in his truck on lake shore drive if he listened to Sports Talk Radio. Aaron comment made me laugh because his response was so true. He said when he first came to Chicago he listened to sports radio but stopped because he got sick of all the sox bashing. This has been an issue for us all. I am so sick of Chicago's media just degrading the White Sox and publicizing the Cubs in a positive light. I blame the Cubune, all the analysts at ESPN, and Jay Mariotti. They have been in the publics face for years bashing the Sox that they basically turned this city against the Sox. I mean when we had our rough losses through September and August these guys were saying nothing but "choke" and they weren’t very supportive when the Sox needed it. Yet if the Cubs were in the exact situation they would be rally them a cheering them on. Hell they still are with a 79-83 record. That’s my theory for the Cub fan populous to be so immense, especially where I live (north side). I really should email Hawk and DJ one of these games asking their opinion on the way Chicago’s media has negatively viewed the Sox and why “We can’t seem to get any respect around here.” All these fair-weather cub fans like to jump ship once the Sox get on a roll. I see them at U.S cellular Field and I am so tempted to go up to one and say, “Hey! 1060 W. Addison is on the other side of town.” “What’s the matter? here to watch a winning team?” But you know what, why should I care if they go to Comiskey Park? They help boost attendance and generate revenue for our organization. But it’s when they force the Wrigley mentality down our throats that really gets on my nerves. I have been to Wrigley a once in my entire life and I truly regret going. You look around and nobody seemed to be aware that a ball game was taking place and when people go to Wrigley they assume it’s an open bar. We all have seen Cub fans throw the ball back when the opposing team hits a Home Run, to me that’s just ridiculous. I see it as ruining America’s past time. When I see a Cub fan carries out such a crime on my turf it makes me feel sick. I have caught a baseball before. Even my Dad has when we traveled to Tucson at Electric Park. Let’s face it once you catch and ball that’s it and you just have the memory. You can either hold on to that object as a treasure or this give the ball to some little kid. Because it’s all about the memory the experience of catching a ball. I mean why throw it back and make your-self look like an idiot. When you can get a free baseball or make a kids dream come true. The last game I was at was 09/23 when Contreras pitched his first complete game. During the course of the game someone fouled a ball over to third base and in the crowd you could see two people fighting over a baseball. I just don’t get it. A Baseball to a little kid can change child drastically, and really make an impact on that child’s life, making them look up to the players of tomorrow, maybe perhaps they could be potential superstars themselves and the moment you hand the baseball to them something might just click. Part of the problem is that baseball is lacking heroes, players kids can look up to I know there is a lot out their that go unnoticed but with all these steroid scandals it might be hard. I can honestly consider Frank Thomas to be a true hero in the fact that he’s never taken steroids, and he’s remained on one organization pretty much his whole entire career.
  10. I made a movie for the sox but I don't know how to post it on the web.
  11. i'll be there. Contreras will be on the mound against Lohse. Lets hope we will have a victory.
  12. No more excuses, I don't want to hear we suck. I'm tired of all the negativity. I haven't watched the sox #1 all year go down when were this f***ing close. From here on out we need to focus on minnesota and detroit and hopefully contain a firm lead over cleveland.
  13. Don't some schools have satillite or dish network? Like MLB ticket or something like that.
  14. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Where the hell are all these Tribe fans coming from? Their fans, whether from MLB.com or another member owned board, must have been aware of Soxtalk and decided to wait five months to register. After 4 years in the gutter, their fanbase has reemerged where they left off in 2001--cocky and arrogant. Personally, I don't mind them here. If they maintain their composure and resist trolling then it should be interesting to hear comments from Indians' fans. Look at it this way: if Sox pervail, we gloat; if Sox lose this lead, we ban them. Win-win. I mean I enjoy talking baseball with them but seriously isn't there a Cleveland Indians forum site? Look at it this way: if Sox pervail, we gloat; if Sox lose this lead, we ban them. Win-win. good point. How about another Major League movie?
  15. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) Did you just wake up> ... yeah kind of
  16. I'm not sure if everyone is aware of this I just found out. I thought we had signed him to charlotte after no one took him on waivers. Did he leave? I'm so confused on this matter. http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/tea...layer_id=430968
  17. Already got my tickets going to the game tomorrow. Its going to be a battle .
  18. A.J Pierzynski is a phenomenal player. I was at the game against the Dodgers when the Sox had the tribute for the 59 series. You just had to be there when A.J knocked out that 9th inning Homer to end the game. It was just insane. The crowd stood still, the ball just seemed to drift slowly toward the bleachers and time stood still. Then the place just went nutz.
