  1. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 11:05 AM) HOLY CRAP, I agree with Hawk and DJ, preach on! What are they saying? Also, Freddy may be sucking - but that run is on Ozzie.
  2. C'mon AJ. I'm here listening to dumb ass Yank fans telling me it's over. Show them otherwise.
  3. C'mon Brian. Get to the Mendoza line in style - a BIG fly.
  4. This team needs to find a back-up catcher who can either hit or call a great game (preferably). Widge does neither.
  5. Okay, I don't care who does it. Juan can come through with a SF - it's practically routine for him.
  6. Frig it. I'll settle for a sac fly. C'mon Joe. RALLY CREDE
  7. C'mon guys, let's take the lead this inning. I don't want to face Rivera.
  8. Pods is a solid hitter in the leadoff spot - not too much available that would be a big upgrade there. Defensively, however, he's below average and I think he should be replaced next year. I'd doubt that someone will be brought in this year but a guy who really interests me a lot is David DeJesus. He's young, plays well defensively and has an OPS of .881 (.804 last year). He could also spell Anderson against tough righties. I'm not sure what his availability is but he plays for KC so I figure there's got to be a chance.
  9. I'd hate the trade if Young was added to the deal, I don't even like it much if it were Garland straight up for Vazquez + Cash. Vazquez just hasn't performed well in 1 1/2 years, plus I don't think he's a good fit for the Cell. HOWEVER, Kenny has earned my trust as a fan. He's made excellent deals to get Contreras, who looks like a CY Young candidate, and Garcia and both at less than market value. Both have performed very well in Chicago and both were major components to the World Series, it's not really fair for me to second guess him anymore. I also remember Kenny wanting Chacon who has been excellent after getting out of the thin air, so it seems to me that Kenny knows what he's doing with pitchers (Todd Ritchie notwithstanding). If Vazquez reverts back to his Expos form, a deal for Garland would be a steal (assuming Garland would walk after 2006). Part of me thinks this is a negotiating ploy though.
  10. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) So is Hahn assuming that the Sox will give up teh exact same number of runs or less? Those 15 runs don't mean jack if the pitching staff gives up 10 more runs in 2006 than 2005. Why do you think he's assuming that? I think he was just referring to that one position in the lineup.
  11. HOLY s*** JON. What pitching by Jon. Clutch when he didn't have his best stuff.
  12. Change up on 3-1, that's gutsy. POPS HIM UP ON A CHANGE! He can't locate the fastball anymore, yank him.
  13. Yank him, he's not throwing strikes. That always hurts him.
  14. Geez, can't have a leadoff walk. Brutal. C'mon Jon, buckle down and get this guy.
  15. That Fox track pitch thing is crap. Rowand swings at a pitch at his shoulders and it apparantly was in the middle of the strikezone. What a joke.
  16. Great inning there Jon, kept Oswalt from coming up to plate. If he's on the mound to start the 7th, we need to capitalize.
  17. Boy, it sure doesn't take long for morale to drop around here. We're still very much in this game, we'll just have to get'er done next at bat.
  18. Good start, now let's turn this into a crooked number. Andy has been very hittable all night.
  19. COTTS AGAIN.... Still need one more. Does Ozzie go to Jenks? He should.
  20. I get the feeling that this is Cotts' only batter... single, crap, this could be big trouble.
  21. Crap, that should be it for Jose... and it is. Hopefully Cotts can take care of Lance.
  22. HORRRAAAAYYYY! Cotts is up and Marte is down.
