  1. clybar, a block northwest of clybourn and fullerton is owned by a sox fan and was closed last tuesday during the game because the owner was at it. the waterhouse on paulina and lincoln has had the sox game on over the cub game every time i've been in there
  2. uribe got that out of his mit so fast that it wasn't even close. lets put a crooked number up
  3. he's not dicking around tonight, he's going right at em
  4. this curse thing is getting out of hand. it's too late to stop it
  5. fwiw, the mlb channel on xm said that if the yankees series went 5, game 1 would be pushed back to wednesday
  6. QUOTE(rangercal @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) Bulls***, We would not get screwed as much as we did today. If we could wait in line we can "control our own destiny" and not depend on the flaws of the ticket master system. there is no flaw in the ticketmaster system. like i said, the only flaw is that dumbasses are willing to pay the ticket brokers and scalpers for the tickets. the brokers would go away if people would just stop paying ridiculous prices for their service.
  7. selling tickets at the box office won't make a damn bit of difference. brokers and scalpers will just pay crack addicts a few bucks to stand in line and wait. the only way to stop this from happening would be to keep dumbasses from buying tickets from the brokers.
  8. unfortunately, i'm not exaggerating with this- i was either 4-15 or 4-16 this year. i went through a stretch of seeing 9 losses in 10 games and just stopped going; i figured i had to have something to do with it.
  9. if somebody could come up with where they'll be moved to, i'm all for it. other than about 2 feet in the power alleys, there's no room.
  10. QUOTE(Darren @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) Hmm, the last time I checked the season doesn't end at the All-Star break and a new one begin. It's the overall results that count. At this point the overall results are still better than anyone else in the league. anybody with a head on his/her shoulders would realize that the overall result is not what's important when you're making a playoff push, or in our case- NOT making a playoff push. we're folding when it counts, and we're playing afwul fundamental baseball. on nights we pitch well, we can't move a runner over and play D. on nights we hit well, we can't pitch. good teams find ways to win, we find new ways to lose every night
  11. hate from the northside has absolutely nothing to do with blowing 14 games on our lead or with our series drought (or even theirs). if anything, competition would breed success for one the teams.
  12. QUOTE(bogie @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) This team was playing good the first half AND LUCKY. Luck in baseball doesn't last a full season. long time lurker (years), first time poster the only thing that was lucky in the first half was ozzie. none of his awful decisions blew up in his face, but they are now. lucky managing won't last the whole season. i'm sick to my stomach right now
