  1. So does that put his sorry ass in the lineup on Sunday?
  2. QUOTE(Allsox @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 08:23 PM) I wish I could leave this town every time this stupid series comes up since the whiny, jealous Sox fans embarrass themselves and the rest of us Sox fans with this "We gotta beat the Cubs to preserve Sox pride" crap. Then leave. Just because it isn't a big deal to you, to others it is. I have a lot of Cub fan friends who love to talk smack. Such smack can be averted with a Sox winner. You are right, it doesn't make up for the fact that the Sox are sucking right now and the season is over. But it does make certain things easier on a smaller scale. I am not sure how hoping the Sox win and not liking the Cubs makes someone whiny and jealous. In fact, that was a pretty s***ty thing to say on your part. While the teams may not be rivals, to a certain degree, the fans are. That is where the fun of this series lies. And if it bothers you that much, maybe you take this s*** a little too seriously. Its meant to be fun.
  3. Nice walk...any predictions on Uribe? You know he will have nothing short of going profundo on his mind...
  4. Nice AB Fields...but all we are doing is prolonging the inevitable. I expect a weak ground out to end the inning from Terrero, or he will K trying to hit the Ryan.
  5. I love the weak low-and-away strikeouts. We are SO f***ING awesome at them.
  6. Wagers that neither of these runs cross the plate??
  7. QUOTE(OilCan @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 12:52 PM) Fearless forecast....Sox 5-0, Garland with the CG SO. I like it. I too was going to predict a Sox shutout, only 7-0 with a JG stellar outing.... Lets hope getting called a joke can *MAYBE* put screw some heads on straight....
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 08:10 PM) The sad thing when Uribe's career is over, he will have only used a small portion of his talent. If he had a better approach at the plate, with his power he could be an elite SS. However, he has no concept of what a strike is. Very well said.
  9. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 07:49 PM) Is that you Kenny? No, really I unerstand exactly where you are coming from and I am sure Joe wishes now he had surgery during the off season, but back surgery for a young man is nothing to take lightly. The Sox have given up on a number of folks eligible for free agency and would have a power team right now if we had kept a couple. The pieces of the puzzle we need to be putting in place includes someone of the caliber of Joe Crede. Plus he is a home grown talent just like Carlos Lee was, and I am not pleased with the Sox decisions in the area of our potential FA's. We should be rewarding our talent and keeping them I just think the delay on the back surgery, coupled with his agent and his impending free agency after '08 have pretty much sealed his fate. I like Fields a lot, but this is not the by-product of being overly excited about him .
  10. QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 07:43 PM) That's a bold prediction. Its a very incorrect prediction... Crede, for all practical purposes, has seen his last days in a Sox uniform.
  11. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 07:30 PM) I don't think you win many games or show you are meant to stay in the bigs by giving up 3 runs in the first. But, that's just me Why? Because that has never happened to any pitcher before?? Christ... Demote Willis now too....he just gave up 4. f*** yeah Josh!!
  12. D-Train looks lazy.... Let's hope we can hit tonight.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 08:59 PM) Maybe JD's been traded. Hahaha... I was on the phone with my dad and we both said the same thing! Hilarious!
  14. Wow.... What the hell is going on here??? Nice to see the shoe on the other foot for a change....
  15. KW better be dialing all over hell and back right now...every team....
  16. WHY WHY WHY do you send Thome there?!?!?!?!?! Someone needs to slap Razor upside his head....then remind him who his slow guys are...he seems to have Cora-itis when it comes to that.
  17. Which will it be.... Kong with a shoulder dropping DP here? --or-- Something productive? Edit:Imagine that....
  18. Heh.... Got away with one there.... That was as lucky as the boot at second in the 9th yesterday...
  19. QUOTE(29thandPoplar @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 06:46 PM) Well the big news from the 2 hour Sox brain trust meeting this afternoon ... KW on the pregame basically says they (the players) want to see how they perform when Podsednik and Erstad get back, to see if the team can go on a run. Konerko was at the meeting, as was Guillen and Hahn and of course Williams. So it does not look like any trades will be made for now. My guess is they will evaluate where they are in two weeks, like July 1st. So...Pods and Grindey are going to teach the idiots that are slumping how to hit and the suck ass bullpen we have how to suddenly pitch and not blow games?? Give me a break. Stop making excuses and start looking at plan B.
  20. Holy s***! We batted through the lineup in the SAME inning!!! Has this happened yet this year?
