  1. Except the Sox are more of an F.
  2. He fired everyone but his cronies and literally nothing changed.
  3. They were 10-1 before clinching the playoffs and tanked the last two games.
  4. Both teams made the playoffs because they beat the Sox so many times.
  5. You cannot beat Tatis. That might be the worst trade in the history of the franchise, and on the Mt Rushmore of MLB.
  6. I do think it would be interesting to see if he is able to do something to keep the main players healthy in the 2021/22 range. I think the rebuild was salvageable at that point if you don't ruin your stars. Keep the core from destructing, and it is easier to see fan engagement staying up, spending staying up, etc. It is a tough counterfactural to run in 2024 after the worst team in MLB history just finished, but maybe a butterfly flapping his wings instead of a washed up drunk changes the health of guys like TA, Yoan and Eloy, which changes the entire complexion of this franchise.
  7. In 2024 the Chicago White Sox had the highest payroll in the AL Central.
  8. A manager matters, but not 21 wins.
  9. We traded for a Luis Arraez who can't hit.
  10. They aren't even in the playoffs without starting off 10-1 vs the White Sox.
  11. The problem is I am not even sure there are more than 4 or 5 people on this roster who will have even a decent major league career. We are filled with filler.
  12. A manager is not getting this team 21 wins.
  13. This is typically subbasements and/or parking garages typically are
  14. No joke, the Sox should connect with the TribCo because that is essentially how they sold the Cubs to minimize taxes.
  15. The entire City of Chicago's skyscrapers all have foundations LONG below street level, even places like The Sears Tower, which is half a block from the same river. If you don't remember, go back and look up the great Chicago Flood in the late 90s. It's the same thing they did in NYC too with all of their skyscrapers including both versions of the WTC. They dig out a massive hole, reinforce it with concrete and rebar, and then start building up. A place like Sears or WTC is probably 50 to 60 feet in a hole before they start building. This ballpark would be amateur hour compared to places like that.
  16. Speaking of the good ol days, you put me in the camp of agreeing with Balta. That should pretty much tell you that you are out in left field on this one. For some reason you have decided to be the old man lecturing everyone how things should be, and how they used to be. We get it you are different. That quit being interesting like 10 lectures ago. We are going to be beneath you over here. If you feel the need to lecture, let the feeling pass.
  17. The rest of us will be fine. The rest of us will be fine. If all you are going to do is complain about having to look down on the majority of us who don't feel the need to pretend all is well, don't. You aren’t going to change any minds by telling us all how stupid we are. With all due respect, gtfoh with that BS.
  18. Sign him. If we are going to waste time on "leadership", it might as well be Abreu.
  19. I am sure you would. Maybe you'd learn something.
