  1. Yeah, truly a great post on why the Sox can win in the next few years. If you are on me, you have nothing.
  2. Just like he had in 2018 and 19, but refused to sign top free agents with. I can't wait to not get Juan Soto and other real difference makes, so we can throw $80 million at a C level guy.
  3. Honestly? If the Sox see this as leadership, it explains a LOT.
  4. He turned a 100 loss team into a 120 loss team, yet we are supposed to believe that soon the same guy can turn it into a 90 win team when the cupboard is basically bare from the player side and we have an owner which will not spend in the free agent market, and in fact has mocked the very idea. But somehow, there is a winning team there.
  5. CAAAAARRRRRRLLLL THAT KILLS TEAMS!
  6. He turned over a really bad roster into a historically bad roster, and that is supposed to inspire me? Wonderful sales job.
  7. So you can't actually tell me anything that changed.
  8. He actually smacked Joc Petersen, so I would say almost is an understatement.
  9. Besides the name on the door, what actually changed that should tell us things might be different? So far I have seen an even lower tier of FAs, prospects beings rushed and jerked around, and the dumping of a bunch of guy Getz was responsible for training, as was the continuation of our kids being baseball stupid.
  10. This is a dude who never seems to err on the side of caution. He rushes prospects, makes big deals, pushes pitchers, etc. If he thinks Crochet is the guy, he will figure out a way to get it done, cost or common sense be damned.
  11. The Sox spending smart in free agency AND being able to cover positions that they spent a decade fucking up at AND getting high end performance out of key prospects is exactly why the Sox being good soon is an unpopular opinion.
  12. I started looking him to to refresh my memory and this is one of the first things I found. https://www.prospectslive.com/prospects-live/2022/10/29/is-jackson-merrill-the-1-prospect-in-baseball
  13. Even if this is a dreaded high ankle sprain we are talking about a couple of weeks. Seeing him walk off under his own power makes me thing it wasn't something where he tore up ligaments in his ankle, but who knows.
  14. To be fully honest, the Sox have zero real scenario shot at .500 the next two years. I mean maybe if we were willing to spend we could fill some holes, but we won't spend on 1A type of players, only mediocre free agents, which shuts that door, meaning any real talent has to come internally. We have no real position player strength to speak of./
  15. Being 100 losses bad instead of 120 losses bad when no one could have ever imagined those guys would be hurt.
  16. There isn't enough that is going to be here in the next two years that it will even matter.
