What a punt

I would take Gordo over our current color guy any day

Since 1969 and the advent of division play there have been 93 different occurrences where a team has lost 100 or more games in a season. In those 55 years there have been countless tanks, front office firings, and all sorts of ways to fail. Only one of those teams has proceeded to lose more than 120 games the next season.
-
On the low end he has the 5/150 of Tyler Glasnow to go off of as an injury prone pitcher who is hurt for about half of the year most seasons.

Love the Bears, but great to see my hometown kid in Braden Fiske just killing it

Well men we are bloop bloop bloop....
-
Because 62 years later, no one remembers who set the all time loss record.
-
He should be looking at the Cole deal as a starting point.

The "adults" wouldn't need to spend six months lecturing people on what to think, but continue with your savior complex.
-
And then have people make excuses for you and ask for mercy after all of the arrogant prickory from last season mocking the ALCentral and how things would be better this year just because he showed up. Look, there have been a whole lot of awful teams with various amounts of awfulness drawing firings. only one of them managed to turn a 100 loss team and make it 20 games worse. Respect is earned. Mercy can be given upon request, but sure hasn't been asked for yet. I have yet to see any actual contrition.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record

This is what you should have said last year dumbass.

Look, there is no point in adding anything short term worth while to this team. They won't be good in the next 4 to 5 years anyway, so it would be pissed away. Fill out the roster, fill the innings, and that is all you need. This is the time to draft, develop, and make long term trades, not for a short term free agent. Add those guys when we are 40 games better and near .500.

Yeah I wouldn't read too much into his stats as he spent a good chunk of the season pretty exhausted.
-
You can see pretty much everything dropping in his advanced stats. His line drive percentage is down. His hard hit percentage is down. His top EV is down. His expected BA is down. His expected SLG is down. His hard contact rates are down, while his soft contact rates are down. He is generating a lot less power this year when he makes contact. This is all with his line drive percentage up this year.

And as we keep rushing players back from injury, we aren't seeming to actually give them proper rest and treatment, as these injuries keep happening.

Buster Olney and Jesse Rogers’s turn ripping the Sox

Well there you go. And despite articles in the last week that expressly named guys like Grandal and Hendriks, TA's name wasn't in them. And no one wants him because he has been awful for two years now. -
Soft tissue injuries never really go away.

That isn't really evidence, except maybe the all-star locker room thing (of which we have no idea of what happened before or after, only a brief clip). Those are all reading your feelings into situations. Literally no one has actually come out and mentioned Tim Anderson as a problem, or even hinted at him. They have talked about a segregated clubhouse, and they have talked about a lack of direction from leadership.
