  1. Welcome to the internet, I see you are new here.
  2. That's just it. It isn't the same three players getting hurt every year. It is more than that. But we only talk about three of them.
  3. And they obviously don't play through injuries...
  4. Nothing to evaluate. The trainers aren't the problem, it is the Latin players who are lazy. At least that is the story that keeps sliding into the wannabe medias DMs.
  5. The kid has had two spotty MLB runs, with this one being his 3rd. He put up a .263 .329 .427 .756 MiLB line in 1400+ ABs. Just because he is hot now, doesn't mean his regression will be to his line last year. Even if he regresses somewhere a bit below his MiLB line as he learns the game, he is a starting MLB catcher. He put up a 23.9% K rates in MiLB, so even if he takes that to the high 20's he will be fine.
  6. Look it is easy to sit here and say TrAdE hIm, but the rest of baseball knows the injury history as well. By the time he gets back he is going to have somewhere around 6-8 weeks of time to prove his health to MLB if they want to get a deal done. Then the question becomes what will the Sox settle for to get a deal done vs how far down a top prospect list will a team be willing to go to get him. Do the Sox take a lesser deal because of his health situation? Would a San Diego be willing to put a Salas in front of a deal? Would Texas be willing to push in at least one of their top OFs? Would Baltimore be willing to dig deep on to the top of their list when they weren't a month ago? Remember about half of the 10 top prospects belong to teams who aren't in a position to add a Robert, so that cuts out a lot of players.
  7. I mean if he puts up a regular .700 OPS and lives up to his plus defensive scouting report, the kid would be a top half catcher in MLB. Yeah he isn't a star, but is a starter.
  8. He doesn't have to be a star to have big value. There are 21 catchers in MLB who have put up 400 ABs since the start of the 2023 season. The median OPS of that group is .728. 6 of those are above .800, while 6 also have one under .700.
  9. Hopefully the kid shows he learned something from whatever lesson he was being taught.
  10. Better than his bat for sure, so he would fit right in, even at age 40.
  11. Dude had 180 ABs in AA and an .851 OPS.
  12. Is he playing 3rd tonight? We need another washed up defensive specialist.
  13. I don't get, what is this thread for?
  14. One of your better troll efforts. 2.5 ?
  15. Yeah he is making somewhere around a player minimum salary. I don't believe this post for a second.

  17. I definitely agree the manager of this team does matter at all. This roster is a tire fire.
