  1. Thus began JR lying to fans by telling them what they want to hear instead of what he was going to do.
  2. No one actually wants this. Find a single post where this is actually said.
  3. Knowing us we will up our original Cards ask of Walker by offering Crochet.
  4. They may well lose 100 games each of the next 3 years.
  5. Ones who claim to be unable to watch the team, have to ask routine questions that normal fans already know about the team, and know everything about the Cubs... for example.
  6. It is nice to see this franchise NOT screw up a common sense thing this year. Hopefully no one tells Jerry.
  7. I am also open to a contract extension.
  8. Pretty sure the "owed" part was negotiated out with the 2003 changes.
  9. Nice to see these guys start to give a s%*# after losing 120 games. Great work Getzy
  10. Haha, me too. That's awesome. Guess I will survive the Soxpocollypse after all.,
  11. I don't understand how you can't see that this has happened all over professional sports and it eventually gets done.
  12. Did we know the business plan for any other network at this point?
  13. You know Xfinity isn't the only network in existance, right?
  14. They will have their own profit motivations, just like they did when the carried Fox Sports and Marquee. What you are posting has literally never been done before, where a team was completely shut off of all of the major networks. It is crazy. Why do I think Jerry can handle this 29, er teams have done this, as well as Jerry has done it multiple times with this exact service in this exact market. For whatever reason you are completely dug in on this one and have no other thought but this one.
  15. That doesn't mean nothing is ever going to get done. That is a gigantic leap. THAT is what would actually be unprecedented.
  16. We aren't though. The only even sort of unique thing here it the OTA option. Again, the Yankees had this problem with YES. The Dodgers had this problem with their new network. The Astros managed to pull a 0.0 rating because they were awful and available on so few networks. Even the Cubs did this, and then eventually figured it out, having a long fight with Comcast. https://cubsinsider.com/2024/06/11/marquee-sports-networks-future-looks-bumpy-as-comcast-contract-ends-in-september/
