  1. 2 reasons. #1, we Don't actually know Paddy is the problem here. The usual errand boys keep telling us he is, but until someone asks the right questions, we don't know the actual problem. #2, you can fire all of the incompetent underlyings you like, if you just find other incompetent underlings to replace them, nothing is actually going to change
  2. He's 31-109 this season. You don't need to make up stuff to get mad about.
  3. So we can't draft, and we can't sign internationally, but the guy charged with developing both of them was fine. It's just wild.
  4. Of course no one is going to ask any actual questions.
  5. Hopefully some reporter actually asks the question is the spending restrictions and the refusal to negotiate with anyone too young were Paddy problems or were Jerry problems. We deserve to know if the sacrifice of the younger Latin players in exchange for older Cuban players was a strategy for Marco or upper management to know if things are actually going to change, or keep plodding along in the dumps.
  6. It is wild how everyone but Chris Getz is the problem with the White Sox.
  7. So instead we are supposed to wait for inexperienced failures as flunkies to see what they do? So much better.
  8. I can't wait for the next thing we have to wait for!
  9. We don't seem to be able to do that either, otherwise Tim Anderson's life would have been a bit different.
  10. Tony wasn't hired by a "process" at all. Jerry told Rick to bring him in, because of his history INSIDE of the White Sox. I guess you could try to call that an external hire because at the time Tony was drawing a paycheck from someone else, but he also literally is never hired but for his extensive history with Jerry Reinsdorf INSIDE the White Sox. This is the kind of incest that leads to sinking ships.
  11. I mean the idea of "acceptable" at this point is kind of a joke. Like what is going to happen if they don't? What enforcement mechanism exists that can make sure of that? There is none. That only leaves the situation on the ground, which is rebuilding the worst team in the history of modern MLB, and a middle of the pack farm system to start with. To me that states that the 3 year idea is almost laughable at this point.
  12. I mean the Sox really don't have a choice. Good, bad, or indifferent, they are married to Vargas for the near future. We will see if he fails or not, but isn't crazy to note his performance to this date, as well as the Sox don't seem to be able to fix hitters very well in recent history as a part of having a lot of doubt here.
  13. This off season? No way. And honestly, unless you were getting Juan Soto, who out there is going to be long term enough to matter to the future White Sox? You have to be talking about a 5 to 6 years of productivity from a free agent to get into the Sox potential window again, because there is still not enough offense in the system and on the horizon for this franchise.
  14. I cannot see any top notch manager candidate being willing to walk into a situation where the cede day to day control on the field to this general manager and owner.
