It is a translation by Marvin Meyer. I actually debated which type to get, a translation or a book about it, and went for the translation. I didn't want someone else's opinion to get in the way of what was in there. Then there is an "interpretation" Harold Bloom that I am reading now. It is a pretty clean intrepretation as he does a lot of referencing to other gospels where they parallell stories are. Very interesting stuff.

I haven't seen anything out of Show, that tells me he can get out righties at any kind of a consistant rate. I would rather see the guy work mop up out of the pen.

To me the question is how old are the fossils? Plate Techtonics takes literally millions of years to happen. If we are talking about fossils that are 10,000 or even 50,000 years old, then there were fish in the mountians. If we are talking about 50 million year old fossils then the arguement can be made that they were there and the mountians moved.

You can go back through old John Kass articles and get a laundry list of crap. The thing that kills me is this guy keeps getting reelected with like 80% of the vote, when he has scandal after scandal, and steals money from the public right and left. Even during the late 90's early 0's when most places where stabilizing or even cutting taxes, Chicago was about the only place in the country where new taxes and tax increases where still happening. Plus all of the failed projects like Millenium Park, where cost overruns and delays have cost tax payer money, and things like the county building fire have killed people even though the company running the building had 7 people die in others of their buildings before getting this contract. People b**** about what George Bush does, but Chicago might be the most corrupt city in the world, and no one seems to care. There is like one columnist in one newspaper who stands up to this guy. Everyone else ignores it all.

Now see I would have thought you would have had to been a Sox fan to get one of these contracts seeing as all of these guys are friends and/or neighbors of King Daley. Hmm maybe they are just trying to confuse the prosecutors...
