  1. I have also noticed (and myself included) that Pale Hose talk really runs based on how the Sox are doing. If people are pissed off at the team it can be an ugly place to post. Lately with the team not doing anything everyone is either jumping off bridges because we are going to suck next year, or the others are pissed off at all of the bridge jumpers acting like idiots. SL&P seems to be the most relaxed out of all the boards. The only exception to that rule is seems to be when a really contentious thread is going on. Otherwise it is a much more fun place to be. The Sports Bar is still working on getting an idenity. It seems to be becoming the hang out when other sports are going on. Either Bears games or important other sports. I get the feeling it will be a ton of fun during the NCAA tourney.
  2. Yeah they are really going to miss that free ticket money that I am giving them.
  3. It was pretty much a rip off of the Bond music. Damn that was a fun game at the arcade though.
  4. Hell save the money you are paying Jaron not to coach and try to lure Steve Spurrier in as offensive coordinator. But when did common sense ever come into play at Halas Hall?
  5. I am just jumping in with everyone else, I feel left out sometimes, you know all alone. Now if Laura would just come rescue me, everything would be all right, because she is perfect.
  6. For the money this team justifiably should have zero interest in Ivan Rodriguez. He should be a non-issue to Sox fans.
  7. Can you imagine the b****ing if the team had signed these pitchers to long term contracts, much like people are b****ing about not being given to guys like Bartolo Colon now? THIS IS WHY THIS TEAM DOES NOT GIVE PITCHERS LONG TERM CONTRACTS! Heck go back to the last batch of stud pitchers we let go McDowell, Alvarez, and Fernandez. What did they do after they left Chicago? They sure didn't justify the huge contracts that they got once they left. It will be interesting to look at the 2003 staff in say 2007 and see what any of them are doing.
  8. Well I think they picked the best of the two finalists, but the Bears really needed to get a guy with experience. Why fire a coach that the whole team loved and played hard for, if you are going to replace him with a guy with no experience?
  9. Maddux doesn't seem to excited about the offer. It does sound like the Mets could swoop in with a better offer. After missing out on Vlad they have about $10 mil to burn. Plus he might like the idea of reuniting with Tom Glavine.
  10. He did look good yesterday. It is great to see him playing.
  11. 9-7 or even 8-8 can get you into the tourney this year espesially since the Big Ten is going to be way down this year. There are going to be a lot more teams bunched up, instead of some clear distinctions between who should go and who should not. A 10 point victory over the Illini will be a nice piece on their tourney resume.
  12. We shouldn't even get our hopes up. This guy won't even sniff the Twins 40 man roster, unless they are decimated by injuries.
  13. Some "source" you were off by a million and a half dollars
  14. Seriously. You guys are not believing Bud Selig and co's #'s over Forbes magazine are you?

    Hmmm

    Well said Brando.
  16. I don't know if I ever got THE high score, but I was pretty damned good. The theme music in the backround was groovin though
  17. When you get a chance Heads, give me some info on UNI, I don't know anything about them... what confrence, who is their stud etc.
  18. I also just saw that northwestern is beating the Illini by 7 with 3 minutes to play. The Wildcats are playing some respectable ball. As bad as the Big Ten is, they might have a chance at a tourney seed this year.
  19. They have a good team, but missing that superstar player is the difference between the sweet 16 and the final 4.
  20. Hawks look like they are going to lose tonight. Down 4-2 with a minute and a half to go in the game, and they are now shorthanded.
  21. A lot of interesting stuff going on tonight Cincy spanks Marquette UConn blows out Georgetown (3rd straight loss for Hoyas) Nothern Iowa is beating Creighton by 9 OK st is blowing out OU by 17 with 8 minutes left to play and Purdue is leading Wisconson by 8 with 7 minutes to play
  22. Wow did that change quick. One minute it was Frattello the next Wilkins... Isiah is really pissing people off quick.
  23. I used to play spyhunter in the arcades as a teen.
