  1. Don't know Miller anymore than passing through it on the train. There are supposed to be some nice areas around the beach, I have heard.
  2. You are lucky I wasn't drinking anything at the time, or it would have ruined my computer Quayle was nothing but a pretty midwestern face to balance out the ticket.
  3. I ride the south shore train through there everyday, and have done it for the past 5 years, and Gary already looks a whole lot better than it did. Granted there is a long way to go, but it is off to a good start. BTW the Steel Yard is beautiful. I got drug to that Steelworkers rally a couple months ago, but I got a full tour of the place, including dugouts and lockerrooms. It facilities are pretty incredible for an independant teams minor league park.
  4. I don't joke about Dan Quayle http://www.quaylemuseum.org/ Here are the directions as I know you will want to visit This is from highway 30.
  5. Speaking of Quayle, I have actually been past the Dan Quayle Mueseum in Huntington IN.
  6. lol. Me too. Once I got out of The Region for college I learned more about the towns of Indiana than in the whole 18 years of my life before that. Pretty much any school or town in the northern half of Indiana, I have been there for some reason or another.
  7. I feel like the Rand McNally of Indiana but both Anderson and DePauw were in the same confrence as my college. Greencastle is a nice little town.
  8. The Bears can't win the tiebreaker against the Vikes and it would be difficult against the Pack. They have to win out and hope for help.
  9. Northeast of Indy about 30 minutes right along the I-69 corridor. Nothing really there except good ol Anderson University.
  10. "Bring the noise" kicked ass. That was the only Anthrax CD I ever owned. The two other awesome songs on there were a "nicefukinballad" and the song they wrote for Tipper Gore about censorship(I can't remember the name of it).
  11. http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news?slug=daze...ov=st&type=lgns Estimates are for him to miss about 10 more weeks...
  12. See also the NHL... Things are going to get that bad for MLB. The thing that made the situations deteriorate more quickly is the amount of teams from Canada who are paying wages in US $ but getting their revenues in Canadian $ worth only about 70 cents on the dollar. I really expect to hear of a bankruptcy filing by a MLB team within the next 5 years.
  13. There are some songs that were a definate step back of the studioized versions of the originals. But for the most part the de-popping of that album made it sounds a lot more like an old Beatles album IMO.
  14. You ever been to Anderson? There isn't much else to do but drink
  15. enjoy your snails, small portions, and large bills
  16. Its kinda funny that we just had this conversation, but guess who got arrested from Portland... http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-t...ov=ap&type=lgns
  17. http://www.channelcincinnati.com/news/2675597/detail.html This site actually has full streaming video, complete with the audio from the police cruiser. It gives much more complete feeling of the incident.
  18. http://www.msnbc.com/news/999853.asp?0dm=C18KN This is a pretty wild story. Has anyone else seen the tape of the beating? The cops just beat this guy like crazy, but at the beginning the guys goes after one of the cops, and sporatically through the video the guy keeps trying to get up and it looks like get after the cops. nbc5.com actually has a streaming video that shows a decent amount of the incident.
  19. This guy just got 17 years in prision. But he has been arrested for DUI over 400 times starting in 1947! http://www.nbc5.com/news/2675416/detail.ht...994&dppid=65192
  20. The Kyoto accords are now effectively dead. http://www.msnbc.com/news/1000204.asp?0cv=CB10
  21. http://www.wbbm780.com/asp/go.asp?ID=http:...ain586293.shtml Here is the text of the story. A 7-year-old boy was scolded and forced to write "I will never use the word `gay' in school again" after he told a classmate about his lesbian mother, the American Civil Liberties Union alleged Monday. Marcus McLaurin was waiting for recess at Ernest Gaullet Elementary School on Nov. 11 when a classmate asked about Marcus' mother and father, the ACLU said in a complaint. Marcus responded he had two mothers because his mother is gay. When the other child asked for explanation, Marcus told him: "Gay is when a girl likes another girl," according to the complaint. A teacher who heard the remark scolded Marcus, telling him "gay" was a "bad word" and sending him to the principal's office. The following week, Marcus had to come to school early and repeatedly write: "I will never use the word `gay' in school again." A phone message left for Lafayette Parish schools superintendent James Easton was not immediately returned. The ACLU is demanding the case be removed from Marcus' file and that the school apologize to the boy and his mother, Sharon Huff. "I was concerned when the assistant principal called and told me my son had said a word so bad that he didn't want to repeat it over the phone," Huff said. "But that was nothing compared to the shock I felt when my little boy came home and told me that his teacher had told him his family is a dirty word."
  22. No wackier than Art Bell himself. My Grandma was was into that stuff, and she had some the craziest theories on that stuff.
