The ticket prices are so high for two reasons. #1 they have the smallest ballpark in all of baseball, and #2 because Bostonians pay that much to see baseball.
I might be off, but I believe the cheapest ticket at Fenway is very close in price to the most expensive ticket at Comiskey.
It IS the Marlins we are talking about, and they always seem to be able to get value for the salary dumps that they do execute. Maybe this time will be different, but if past history is any indication, the Marlins usually hold their own.

Well because of PTBNL rules it can't be someone on the 40 man roster, so it could still be one of their more hyped, lower level minor leaguers. I imagine they had to give up SOMETHING to get this steal of a deal done though...
We'll see. Palfy being out indefinately factored into it for me, as does the fact I really think Marty is going to explode for the 2nd half. Plus it is much harded to find goaltending than scoring in this particular league.
But in the end I guess we will see if I was right or not
