  1. Brian Anderson and Brad Radke... Game is now in the top of the 6th.
  2. This thread was in response to the moronic Cotts fan club thread. I mean yeah support the guy, but he got totally ROCKED. Oh, and yeah i was absolutely hammered........ It was a lot less of an over reaction than calling Cotts "cocksucker", "bastard", and "motherf***er", not to mention the whole "f*** neal cotts" thread
  3. I can't complain too much about last night. We pitched well and we played great defense. You are going to lose games, like that every once in a while.

  5. So it wasn't the Village People? Damn, I could have sworn it was.
  6. He has been recalled for Koch, and no one can figure out why we brought up Adkins to pitch in relief...
  7. Me thinks somebody has been drinking again...
  8. Pacheco is a starter who we got in the Sandy Alomar trade of last year. I don't know anything about the other guy, but right now Matt Ginter is closing at AAA and Arnie Munoz was closing when Matt was up here. After the Royce Ring trade, I have no idea who is closing at AA, but I am sure someone else can help out on that one.
  9. I hate to break this to ya, but after reading your Rick White was right thread, this is EXACTLY how Jerry Manuel uses his bullpen. That is why you see Damaso Marte and Tom Gordon early in games, and you also see them when we are losing. Manuel wants his best relievers in what he thinks are the critical points of the game.

  11. There is a very clear explanation for that (to me anyway) Rowand's shoulder was not healed. He has never hit like that at any level, and ever since he got healthy he has been on fire. I think he either mislead the team about how bad his shoulder was still hurt from the offseason accident, or the team pushed him back into play sooner than they should have.
  12. This pick is for theBigHurtBeGood Joe Crede
  13. This pick is for the BigHurtBeGood Frank Thomas
  14. Came from AA Wichita, where he put up very good numbers. He's a lefty, good arm, very smart. His first two starts were a fluke, but the kid is going to be, in my mind, a pretty good #3. How can you say it was a fluke? It's not ok to judge a guy after one start, but it's perfectly okay to do so after 2? When someone gives up 1 or 2 ER straight from AA, it's most likely a fluke. I disagree. There have always been good pitchers brought up from AA and been successful. Not all of them, certainly. But it does happen. Example: Dontrell Willis. We don't know if Gobble is a fluke or not. That would make Willis a fluke IMO, how many other rookie pitchers this year have made that kind of splash? Pretty much outside of Willis, the only guy is Rich Harden.
  15. So what more does this guy have to do to play more often? What a night this kid had. Like I have said all year, I love to watch this guy play as he always leaves it all out on the field. As far as I am concerned, Carl Everett should never start again LHPing. I really think that the Carl Everett trade was unnecesary, and Aaron would have put up the same type of numbers Carl did, and we could have saved the 3 prospects.
  16. Well I will say this much, we need a couple of our back of the pen pitchers to step up and give us some big innings to lessen the load on Marte and Gordon or this bullpen will be fried.
  17. WSI is probably looking for mods...
  18. Who do you sit? Frank, Maggs, Pauly, or Lee?
  19. Jerry Don Gleaton where are you when our bullpen needs you so much???
  20. I never made a reference to how many posts Neal has made, nor how often he has been on this board, because to me it doesn't make a difference a member is a member and deserves a certian level of respect. People insult each other on here all of the time. That is the downfall of the much more open rule structure on here. And like I said, there were a million different ways that a person could have said how bad Cotts pitched last night, and I wouldn't have argued with many of them, because he did get wild. And as for the reaction of a bad night, that is fine. I rarely get upset, except for a few times a year, when it is a mental aspect that is a downfall, and not a physical problem. But take out of the game what you wish. That my friend is up to you.
