  1. Look at what Juan Gonzalez was worth. They were going to get two low level prospects and pay Juans salary for the rest of the year. The Mets are in the same type of position as the Rangers. High payroll, underachievers. This might not be a tough deal to make.
  2. Nothing wrong with being cheap... that is how I am able to afford baseball on a regular basis. Now I think I am going to hoist a few Icehouse's before the game!
  3. DJ is 39th in MLB for OBP. more then 100 pts off the lead. That should have been for lead off hitters, sorry... Not even close: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/battin...&hand=a&pos=all Go back and read the date on the post. it is from June 1st. After the awful June that Jimenez had, things have changed a lot.
  4. But it is 5.5% alcohol. Much more than most others

    I'm back

And I just want to add, judging Texas by Texas City, is like judging Chicago by the meat slaughter house plants.
  6. It isn't Church League Softball Jack. This is professional sports. Guys are paid to win, not fellowship.
  7. Not sure, but I believe Fox Saturday baseball has the exclusive rights to 12-3pm under their network deal. Since this game isn't on Fox, it can't fall within this window.
  8. Congrats dude, you just proved everyone else right. The median ERA in MLB this year is 4.30, The median batting average is .266. In other words Loiaza has been worse than average when compared to his peers. A career .264 hitter would only be .002 worse than his peers. And going by the career worsts you posted Loiaza was .80 era higher than the league, versus Moras .033 worse than the rest of the league. Try again.
  9. Now what is more important, the Sox or a job?
  10. It would have been Back to back PTC wins for Jose Valentin!!! But no one picked him either day?, so the winner was Jimenez with 4 pointson Th and the winner Friday was Frank Thomas. Sorry I didn't get these updates done, but I had a game to get to! Thursday's winner was BigHurtBeGood. Fridays winners were WinningUgly, WhiteSox247, Mreye, cwsox and Mathew,
  11. GET YOUR ASSES ON THE AIR MORE OFTEN, LETS WIN THIS DAMNED THING!
  12. Considering the Cubs have all these fireballing strike out pitchers, what do you think? This was a one line note in the ST too. I yelled and screamed about it, and the funny thing is it has pretty much mirrored the beginning of the Cubs slow fade to mediocratey
  13. That wasn't the half of it, them came back from 13 or 14 runs down in like 9 outs right?
  14. We all know Yas, just after some of the BS the thread starter has issued, he still has never stepped up when someone proved he was wrong.
  15. That is one thing I will say for Koch. He is a stand up guy. Anytime he screws up he will be the first to admit it. NO BS excuses.
  16. The thing is if the price of Juan Gonzalez is any indication of what we could get Roberto Alomar for I am all for it.
  17. Yeah despite what the moron behind me said, Danny pitched great.
  18. Hey according to my Machiavellian theory St Louis is one of my favorite teams!
  19. KC is not that good. The simple fact is that they beat the lesser teams. That fast start was a fluke. They cannot beat the good teams, go back and look at who they have beaten.
  20. OK ... I going to really analyze this game. White Sox 4 Cubs 3 f*** YES!!!!! I Luv it when you analyse
  21. That whole thing was tounge in cheek. The point of the article is that Sammy is weakminded and we get to him. Look at his history during the series at Comiskey. In all the years I can think of he has had one big AB, and that was when he HRd to tie a game off of Foulke, that we won in 14 innings.
  22. My favorite was the guy out in RF who made a sign out of a roll of cork board. LMAO. Heck the best Cub heckling today was Sammy's 5 AB's!
  23. I also want to jump in and get some credit for the Lee HR, right before that AB, I said "this is the Cub-Killa Carlos..."
