  1. Paperboy was one of the arcade games I wasted the most money in... I used to love that game.
  2. No mention of the Archie's? Man, they might not have been the biggest superheros, but they were the rockinest band!
  3. I was glad to see that two of the biggest jokes in the ASG didn't get to pitch... Lance Carter and Mike Williams.
  4. I wish I would have stayed up to watch it now...
  5. It was lame. The only entertaining thing was watching her pull up on her top to keep her boobs from popping out. I still think that the best rendition of anything at a ballpark was the first home game after Sept 11, when Pat Arnold sang God Bless America during the 7th inning. It was the most heartfelt inspiring version of any patriotic song I have ever heard. There are a lot of people that should watch that tape and take notes.
  6. Gosh even we hit off of him late in the game...
  7. What do you want to bet that this clown has never been in Comiskey?
  8. Reinsdorf was on AM1000 just a second ago, and was asked about Kenny Williams statements that implied JM was on the hot seat. He made it very clear, that isn't how those statements should be taken. He offered a couple of other lame possible explanations, but made it clear that Jerry wasn't going anywhere. Does anyone think that Kenny was speaking out of turn again?
  9. I believe so actually. I just found some humor in it...

The day that the South Shore train service institutes an across the board 10% fare increase, they have line problems and the trains are running an hour late...Oh the hells of commuting
  11. I am going to be a homer and go with Mr .500 hitter in the all star game. Magglio Ordonez.

DAmn electricity just went off for a bit. THis is gonna be a loooong day. Wind gusts up to 46 mph. YEah they eye is going right over me later! It'll be gone soon, for a couple few days, most likely. Are you guys right in the line of the eye? I saw it was coming ashore around Port O'Conner.
  14. The other thing that raised Red Flags for me was Sammy and Barry coming to camp 15-20 #'s lighter the year that they start testing for steroids.

In 1983 when we lived in Conroe for a summer I got to ride out Hurricane Alicia. It was awesome. I have never seen it rain up before, but I did that day. Plus we actually got to experience the eye for about 5 minutes or so. I'll never forget it. Be safe Bmr! Those winds are crazy.
  16. Can I just say F*ck that! No wait f*** THAT

My Grandpa lived there for years, when I was a kid. Small world, huh? You ever get over to Port Lavaca or Matagorda Island? Those were great beaches when I was a kid.
  18. Umm try again. Both McGwire and Canseco admitted their supliment usages. Mac's was legal, Canseco's was not.
  19. well I guess that makes him just another famous drug addict, right Roman?
  20. You realize how many things could be considered "preformance enhancing drugs"? That is an awful broad brush you paint with there Roman.
  21. If everyone could play GM for a day, what would people do to prepare for the 2nd half? First. I would stick Frank at 1B for 5 days a week, getting Pauly and Daubach work the other two days, and at DH. Frank is hitting .236 in 208 AB's as a DH with 12 HRs and 26 RBI (OPS846). In 91 AB's as a 1B he is hitting .352 with 8 HR and 22 RBI.(OPS1.212). Why is this even a question? Second. I didn't like the Everett trade at all. It weakens us in CF big time. Plus he hasn't been hitting worth a damn anyway. Aaron Rowand is my starting CF, with Everett playing DH as a starter, and getting occasional time in LF, and CF as a back up for Rowand and Lee offdays. Third. Catcher. IMO Olivo has been playing too much and he is suffering because of it. Get Sandy out there 3 times a week, and Miguel 4 times. Miguel was hitting just fine when this arrangement was being used early in the season, then after Sandy got hurt and Miguel was catching 6 or 7 days a week is when he started downhill. Lighten the load on the kid. Fourth. Get Sanders and espesially Glover regular work. Glover was good in the first month of the season when he was pitching every few days. He also was an excellent set up man when used in that role over the past few years. Don't let the kid rot. With Sanders we have no idea if this kid can pitch or not. Test him and see if he can handle it. With Kelly hurt we need another lefty and if Dave can't handle it, call up someone else (Munoz or Cotts or someone!) Fifth. Tom Gordon is my closer. Billy Koch either needs to go on the DL, or into middle relief until he finds what he lost. We can't afford to lose games cheaply. Plus Gordon's arm has just been electric this year. Use him while he is still healthy. Sixth. 5th starter. Obviously Dan Wright is not right, right now. Give Porzio a few starts and if he can give us a 4.50 to 4.75 era and some consistancy that is fine with me for a 5th starter. If not, if Rauch is healthy give him a shot. I DO NOT want to see Neal Cotts up here yet, until his BB #'s come down. Well that is good for now. I am curious to see what everyone else thinks.
  22. I just saw this and got a laugh out of it. http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbullet...?threadid=21854
