  1. Probably working on his new theory, obviously Mark Buehrle is gay, Jewish, and out to kill Frank Thomas with Paul Konerko's help...
  2. You know like a vulture swooping in after someone else made the kill and picked up the scraps...
  3. That is 12 earned runs in less than 3 IP for Colon over his last two games
  4. Two straight singles to start the 3rd with Nomar and Manny coming up. Bart just doesn't look like he has it tonight. They did just say that he has gone 8 innings in 6 of his last 7 starts, I wonder if he is a little tired?
  5. Not only is Mark 4th lowest in run support for, he is 5th in the AL in worst bullpen era after a start. The pen has a 6.59 era in games after Mark B pitches.
  6. Colon K's the side in the 2nd inning, while giving up two solo HR's
  7. Just a guess but I think we were just taking a chance on this kid. We got the guy we wanted with the first pick and we figured maybe since we stayed on our budget for the first guy that we might be able to free up some cash for Sweeney. Incidently 8 of our first 9 picks are now signed,
  8. I swear if we lose 4-3 I will be so pissed.

    Oh

I don't see what the debate is over. The ball hit the top of the wall and bounced up and hit the fence. The foul pole is considered a HR. The ground rule is if it hits the top of the fence and goes out it is a HR, and if it bounces back in it is a ground rule double. Since it hit the foul pole it should be considered in the stands. What is the big deal?
  10. Hawk is getting pissed at him too, it is pretty funny, except for the fact Maggs got screwed.
  11. Nope Maggs gets ripped off. The ball bounced on the top of the wall (over the yellow line) right at the foul pole and bounces into the stands and they call it a double. :fyou the umps It is physically impossible for a ball to hit the wall below the yellow line and bounce straight up to hit the foul poll and bounce out of play. Yet another horrible call.
  12. Nope Josh Paul caught last night. Miguel is behind the dish tonight.
  13. Question... How do you have the lineups before the game goes on the air? Is there a pre-game on FSN? Do you hear it on the radio? Thanks! actually if you go to MLB.com's gamecast of our particular game they usually have it posted about half an hour or so before the game. But FSN usually has them in the pregame, as does AM1000 pregame. Aren't the official, final lineups presented to the home plate umpire just before the first pitch? Until then, changes can be made, correct? Anyway, I'm upset now, because I get the Boston feed for today's game. I have the MLB Extra Innings package, and no Hawk/DJ. I suppose it's better than nothing, though. Technically yes. But how often does that actually happen? Extremely rarely.

  15. White Sox line up Harris Jimenez Thomas Ordonez Lee Valentin Konerko Crede Olivo
  16. barnes and noble dot com had it for 30% off. I ordered the hard back and next day delivery for cheaper than buying it in the store.

  18. My wife made me preorder it in April.
  19. Acevedo signs with the Blue Jays. I would guess that he would become their closer. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/gen/wire?...sageId=17081394
  20. Could be interesting, are you interesting in doing the work, or just the critisizing? I would keep it very simple. The O/U is recorded for each gm at the USA site so there's nothing to calculate or anything like that. Essentially every gm day thread would include a link to the usa site that breaks down the teams & players for that game. Then those who are playing pick O/U. If you want to keep track of all of the picks and standings and such, feel free. I wouldn't mind at all if you kept in on here. Is there any other interest in it besides the 3 of us?
  21. Konerko also had a couple of real good AB's against Martinez seeing about a dozen pitches in them and ended up getting on both times.
  22. Could be interesting, are you interesting in doing the work, or just the critisizing? me? or JUGGERNAUT? I wasn't criticizing. I love the PTC and if we have another game will probably jump in on that also. Not you Tex, sorry that's why I didn't include your post. I wasn't sure if I was seen as criticizing JUGGERNAUT for his idea. I didn't intend to. I also didn't take his comments as criticizing the PTC, just the team's efforts. It certainly is more exciting when you have to spend a minute or two with the box score to separate four or five players. I proposed a PTS as in pick to suck during one of my Sox really really suck phases. Who's going to have the most errors with game losing errors counting as double. How about bonus points on PTC? Only if the Sox lose. Nah, it is an old thing that goes back a while. I wasn't on Juggy for his idea, it is an old thing with us...
  23. Besides, Roman is what 16? He needs to grow as a person. He isnt gonna do that following or trying to make others happy. Every great lesson I have learned, is through a mistake of my own. He is going to do a lot of learning them
