  2. I thought it was the Cubs that had been offering that deal? Meh, maybe I was wrong then.
  3. Wow they wouldn't deal for Juan Cruz, but they want BY Kim? interesting. I guess that means they are going to annoint Kim as the closer.

  5. So essentially he is worried about 5% of his salary??? So if he were to get a $10 mil deal for next year he would lose $500,000 to an agent, and that is why he is firing the best agent in the game? Pardon my French but what a f***ing idiot.
  6. I think Padilla might have an OK 2nd half. How deep is your league?
  7. Well that makes him instantly more attractive. Too bad we have no chance at landing him. I wonder why he fired Borass? I haven't heard of that one before.
  8. I think Koch is turning it around. Plus the O's are infamous for 2nd half swoons.
  9. Well I will say this, If Stein ever needs a quiet pushover manager to sit in the dugout and take orders, Jerry Manuel should get his resume in ASAP!
  10. Is he looking bad? It seems like everytime BHam wins, Royce gets a save. Heck he has an era of around 0.40 with a WHIP around 1.
  11. Give Frank a shot for a while at 1B, what't the worst that could happen? He doesn't hit in the clutch? Hell he hasn't done that all year anyway, and neither has Konerko. If Frank can do it, let him play first. At least one of the two would be hitting.

  13. Why should you be excited? One game is just that, one game. We are 7 1/2 games back, when we start to cut into that, then maybe I'll get excited.
  14. I have noticed that Joe does foul off a lot of pitches. He seems to get down in the count and keep swinging.
  15. Hey Joe, you can edit a post if you like BTW Jimenez at SS? That scares me. I haven't seen Hummel at 2B, but I have heard the stories about Jimenez at SS. I don't think he has the range either.
  16. I have got to imagine with Nomar at SS, this guy is prime trade bait. Any idea what Boston thinks of him? Are they willing to deal him or would they try to move him to 2B or 3B?

  18. At 8-0 he was thinking about the complete game shutout, at 2-0 who knows

  21. As long as Royce Clayton is in this league, that question is answered. Heck as long as Rick White is around, Pauly isn't even the worst on his own team!
  22. Of all of the things you can say about JM, that he lacks class isn't one of them. I do agree that his style is WAY too much like Torre's and I don't think he would be a good successor to JM just because of that.
  23. To call it a blow out is misleading the game was 2-0 at most up until the 9th inning. It was a well played nip and tuck game. The final score was a fluke and totally misrepresented how the game actually went.
