  1. Downtown was a slushy mess this morning. I'd say 3-5" but it was the big thick heavy wet stuff. The bottom of my pants were soaked by the time I walked from the train to work.
  2. Sad to see both Diaz and Munoz got beat up yesterday.
  3. I really get the feeling that whoever wins tonight will do so in a blowout, I just can't decide who to take?
  4. Actually up until the game starts it is up to the home teams whether to play or not. We didn't have anything to do with todays PPD.
  5. Well after reading the quotes on the matter it is obvious for now that Stewart is the 25th man on the Sox roster. That could change depending on how Loiaza and Stewart pitch, or if KW finds someone who needs a back up catcher.
  6. DING DONG THE WICKED WITCH IS DEAD!!!!
  7. Darn I was hoping that they would have to suffer through worse weather than we had for our openner.

Anybody played both High Heat and MVP? Does the game play of MVP out weigh the minor leagues and franchise mode of High Heat?
  9. Like Nickelodeon did to Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, and Invader Zim....they did move it around a lot so nobody knew when it was on. wasnt bevis and butt head one of those. Beavis and Butthead got taken off the air after the problems they had when some backwoods f***twit burned down his trailer because Beavis said "Fire". if memory serves me correctly. Actually Beavis just go moved into the safe harbor after those moron kids burnt down their trailer. If memory serves me right they were on either 3 or 4 hours later than where they started out at.
  10. No Milli Vanilli "Blame it on the Rain"?
  11. Once again. DE-TROIT SUX!!!
  12. WCIU is a local Chicago channel. I don't think anyone outside of Chicago can get it.

  17. OK after seeing all of the opera singer hot dog vendor stuff, here is the full story. He is one of the biggest sales vendors of the Detroit Tigers at Comerica. He has the dugout to dugout area behind homeplate. What he does is he sings "hot dog" in an opera voice as he is selling. When I went up their for a game a couple of years ago he got in my face (all a part of his act) and started to ask me what my deal was. Then he went on to expain to me how since I was at a baseball game I had to eat hot dogs. I told him that I was from Chicago so we ate Brats and Polish (total BS but I was playing along too) So the next hot dog vendor that came by I bought a pair from him and got his attention and rubbed it in his face. Anyway yeah his routine is cute, but trust me after 3 hours of hearing him sing Hot Dog over and over, I wanted to kill him. Anyways he was at Comiskey for openning day, because they bring in vendors from area teams when our attendance is way more than usual. It will happen again during the Cubs series.
  18. No it was #300 of ARod's that got thrown back, because I remember reading all of the things that he had signed in preparation of that moment. And for Alex's sake, I hope he gave it all to the guy anyway. It would be a class act.
  19. The Lions might win before the Tigers do...
  20. and the best part of the Cubs loss is that Sammy GIDP to end it!
  21. Blue Jays sweep the Twins at the Met with an 8-1 victory today!
  22. Indiana uses like 4 time zones, don't they? I went to a McDonald's in Gary once and they were :30 off Chicago time, which blew my mind. LOL. Sorry man Gary is on the sametime as Chicago all year long. You just went somewhere who didn't know how to set a clock!
  23. The bright spot of that is I heard the fans cheering loudly for apparently no reason during the next AB, being a Comiskey vet, I know that means security grabbed them and gave them something to think about tonight.
  24. He has been working deeper into counts, which is the most important thing for him to do now.
  25. Sox score 9 huge runs in the 8th to put this one away. 10-2 Sox going to the 9th and its hold em and head to Cleveland!!!
