  1. I think he was mixing up our ex-Cons. Belle ran tried to run over kids in his SUV on Halloween. Wil Cordero was the wife beater.
  2. kw stole him???...have you seen what scott eyre has done in san francisco???...both down the stretch last year and this year???...he is in damaso marte's role as the number 1 lefty for them..eyre had a 1.59 era down the stretch last year for the giants and this year has a 2.45 era with a save and 4 holds... right now eyre is still the better pitcher Scott Eyre did nothing for Toronto. He was so bad for the Blue Jays that they ended up releasing him. That is like saying the Cubs stole Sosa from the Rangers.

    Laci Peterson

Everyone did see that they arrested the husband in San Deigo and they positively ID's the bodies as Laci and her baby.
  4. although I hate to say it, it couldn't have happened to a nice guy. j-k
  5. I wrote a couple of them during the last baseball season. I wasn't very good at it, so I went back to what I was good at, posting!
  6. No, I did boooooooooooooo!
  7. 4 Homers in 4 games for Carlos. Just thought I would point that out, before he gets ripped again
  8. be careful though, you might offend voodoo, lol. I actually met him at Soxfest this year, and that was part of the reason that I started checking out this board, instead of WSI. (although he probably doesn't even realize it) The other part being I respected Mario as a poster on the ESPN board, and he let me write a couple of articles for Soxnet before it went and got all big and famous

    The Simpsons

God how could you pick a best episode ever? There are so many great episodes. All though one episode that was great was the B Sharps that mocked the career of the beatles, my all time favorite band.
  10. I like this board much better than WSI.
  11. I have to take exception to half of this statement. Joe Crede's defense was incredible this game. He started 3 DP's saving God knows how many runs, and made a webgem type diving stop early in the game as well. he might not have hit the ball well today, but he was great in the field. :finger
  12. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=230420123 Sounds like is surprisingly OK.
  13. His era as a starter last year was 5.97. As a reliever it was 1.21 in 22 innings which covered 19 games out of the pen or about 1/3 of a season. This year he has an era of 0.87. That works out to about an era of about one in about half a season's worth of outings.

    Bulls

I will say that Pippen owes the Bulls something. If it wasn't for us, he couldn't have gotten nearly as much money as he did. That long term deal he got because we did a sign and trade deal, was way more than the salary cap rules would have allowed him to get.
  15. In all honesty I would want to sign Tejada more than Vlad in the Sox situation. If we sign Vlad we kiss Maggs good bye for sure. At least with Tejada we solidify the SS position for years. We have much better players near to making the team in the OF vs SS.

    NFL Draft

So it is pretty univerally accepted that the Bears won't take a QB with their first pick? Somehow that makes me fell better knowing how well they seem to do with most of their first picks. After reading somemore it sounds like they are pretty enamoured with Chris Simms
  17. Oh sure AFTER we face him twice he gets blisters... don't worry he will be healthy next time around for us I am sure!
  18. I like it. I like the fact that someone is willing to break the monotiny in our clubhouse. Maybe if people are laughing about stuff, the assholes we have in our clubhouse will be muted.
  19. What is wrong with giving Gary some props out of the pen? In the time that he has been pithing out of our pen the last two years he has an ERA of around ONE! Who has been better?
  20. He tore his ACL right at the start of last season if I recall. Was he not ready for this year?
  21. Am I alone in hoping that Jose finishes his career with the White Sox if his health allows him? I mean he is easily worth 5 Mill in 2004 and will probably give us a discount again for 2005-2007 seasons until Andy Gonzalez or whomever are ready to step in. Since he is a very smart player with very good worth ethic and not a lof ot weight (heavy players tend to age faster), and since Lofton-esque super-quickness was never his primary tool, he could easily last into late his 30's without losing much skills. Ricky Handerson can still play at 44, lol..Who knows Manos may become our manager in 10-15 years. Also, am I the only person who doesnt want Tejada and his 5 year 60 million contract demands? Hell, I'd rather pay 2 million more and lock Valdimir Guerrero up long term. i can't believe this, but i am actually agreeing with you in this post. Only problem is I don't think either Vlad or Tejada will come this cheap or short term.

    NFL Draft

Suggs last work out was even worse than his previous....... not good. I heard his 40 times were even slower to. 4.9 and 5.0 i think is what they said wow, what happened to this guy? He was supposed to be the best pass rusher in the draft. I wonder if he was doping in college and quit for tehe NFL or something, because he has just fallen like a rock!
  23. and the first pitch DP ends it. A fitting end for this game
  24. CARLOS DOES YARD WORK... too bad it is too little too late.
