  1. games on a major league roster. 162 games (days) is a year.
  2. They were saying he has 4 years and 115 days of service, just short of the 5 full years you need to be able to deny an option.
  3. http://www2.bostonherald.com/sport/red_sox...sox04162003.htm It is within the article.

  5. Has it been said yet if tonights game will happen?
  6. How quick can you get more security there? 10K walkups aren't to be expected. How do you get more guards with an hour or two's notice? Because they are 10K walk ups they weren't figuring them on being there, how do you plan for that? i dont i expected a big walk up crowd..on the mlb boards i set the over under on attendance at just under 20k..others there were hoping for 30k...it was 80 plus degrees in chicago and a perfect night for baseball..we dont get too many april days like yesterday..a big walk up should have been expected Don't take it as I am defending anyone, but that is a crap shoot at best. To expect as many people as are ticket holders to just show up at a game is a big leap of faith. Yeah I figured there would be some walk ups, it is just 10,000 shocked me.

  8. That's not the angle I was really going for. I liked the fact that the team stood up for Frank, and that Frank is fired up enough to care that he got hit twice.
  9. I was looking for a link to the statements. There are some people who don't believe Cub fans could have done this! Ask Chad Krueter and Randy Myers what they are capable of!
  10. Hey HSC where did you see the interview on???
  11. In all seriousness, this one of the highlights to me of last nights game. Frank gets hit on the elbow for the 2nd time by the exact same pitcher, and saids something to him about it ("that's twice") the pitcher said something back so Frank was going to take him up on his offer. Then all of his teammates were out on the field WAY before the Royals were, including the bullpen, who was being led by Esteban Loiaza. I like the stick together attitude of it all.
  12. Read my post in the contest room about why I hate the Cubs. There are plenty in there!
  13. Coming from a guy who blasted his OWN fans, screw him.
  14. Steff said that he had a Cubs hat with him. I haven't seen this anywhere else, but putting one and one together...
  15. I gotcha. I was actually in the Brat line when Randa homered, and didn't see exactly where it landed. I thought it ended up in 160.
  16. Zach out of curiousity, were you sitting in the front row of 159 with a crutch, in the 1917 jersey? If so I was sitting across the aisle from you guys!

  18. Hey Southsider, sorry I haven't gotten to your questions. I've had a lot of stuff going down here at school. I just found out that I have to speak at a campus rally so I've been spending a lot of time into preparing a speech, etc. I promise when my schedule frees up a little bit and I have time to sit down and actually type for a while, etc., that I'll get to them. It's difficult being a college student with less than one month before final exams, 2 papers due, and a whole bunch of peace activism events. It's cool man. I understand being busy. I just like to look at both sides of things...
  19. Or maybe the asshole fans that can't tolerate 2 games in 1 day should stay home??? It's not the beer's fault. Or the Sox. Nor is it their responsibility. It's the dumbass who's drinking the beer. Amen. When did people in this country quit taking responsibility for their own actions?
  20. Hey Apu, do you have anymore on my questions? Just curious.
  21. When did the idiots start to get the idea to throw back opposing teams HR balls? People this is not Wrigley Field. Do you know how lucky you are to get that ball? Both KC HR balls got thrown back after the morons started the "throw it back" chants. It makes me madder than hell when they do that. Have some class. Then again if there were as many Cub fans as it sounds like there was, I guess it all makes sense.
  22. I was sitting out by the bleachers and saw the fat kid swinging his jersey, but it was inside out when I saw it and didn't see the Wood. As for the other guy, it was the exact opposite side of the field and I really didn't see anything.

Not to start trouble, but I think I am going to with this question. Why do people hold NCAA coaches to completely different standards than in any other job market? Are the people who are crucifying Roy Williams telling me that if the biggest, best company in their field came along and offered them way more money, they wouldn't take it? Why is coaching different? I know when you go into an interview everyone tells the employer that they want that job, even if it isn't their first choice. You are trying to get that job after all. Anyone want to shed some light on this?
  24. The fan that approached the ump was wearing a Cub hat. And the one before him was wearing a Wood jersey. Guess the double header drink fest was a bit too much for them. Where did you see that at Steff? I haven't seen anything in the papers or pictures...
