  1. The Sox have never seen the Indians starting pitcher tonight, Davis. The Indians are could be a bargin at +160!
  2. Where did you guys find all of the smilies at?
  3. If the team continues to tank it won't be long before there are only 5-6000 a nite at the Jake. The novelty has worn off. It has already started. Attendance has dropped by 10,000 a night from 2000-2002, that is about 840,000 less total tickets sold. This year, while still a sell out, was also the lowest openning day attendance in the Jake's history also. I could see the Indians attendance falling to the mid 20k's this year, if they don't get really hot soon.
  4. My point all along was if they were such great fans, they would still be supporting the team now. There also would have been more than 5000 a night going to Muni stadium in the 80's.
  5. This is kind of redeeming to me personally after we had to listen to Indians fans who proclaimed themselves the greatest baseball fans in the world because they sold out the Jake every night. Turns out they are just a bunch of bandwagoners just like I suspected all along. To the people jumping off... :finger
  6. So who has the worse job, the body doubles or the information minister? And the whole leg thing might change the answer!
  7. Looks like Jaret Wright is never going to be the pitcher that Cleveland touted him to be. Too bad arm injuries really hurt him.
  8. Is Malone ever going to get any control? He will never be a big league pitcher if he can't stop walking people.
  9. I believe the biggest reason that a lot of people are avoiding public displays is the result of the 1991 insinuations that we would help those who tried to overthrow Saddam. Then we they tried we were no where to be found and approximately 100,000 Kurds got gassed for it. Plus with it being public knowledge of Husseins torture and terror tactics, plus the huge misinformation effort that is the only information a normal Iraqi would get... well I wouldn't trust the Americans quite so easy either. I really was surprised that many people did go out in public and demonstrate and celebrate. I really believe in the back of most average Iraqis mind is the belief that Saddam and his crews could be back at any second.

This is the truly shocking part of this article. Arabs even drive cabs in their own country LMAO! I would have thought they would be Americans
  11. http://home.attbi.com/~wavelandave/pics/hewasout2.jpg
  12. Kw will never resign Siro, after what Sirotka implied from his trade to Toronto. For what ever reason there is no such thing as bygones for Kenny.
  13. While I agree with the deal, I am not sure why JM never gave Foulke a real chance to win back the closers role last year. Espesially after re essentially refused to bench either Carlos or Frank when they slumped badly last year.
  14. Wow can we get Jon Rauch up here for a few starts before we send him to Cooperstown? He wasn't even good enough this spring to beat out Loiaza or Stewart...
  15. We definately need the banging the head on the wall one! That is the PERFECT one for Carlos Lee lately!!!!
  16. So the Best Damned Sports show lost its Period??
  17. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays placed pitcher Jim Parque on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with tendinitis in his left shoulder. Parque allowed six runs, five hits and four walks in 1 2-3 innings of Tuesday's 8-7, 10 inning win over Baltimore. In his two starts, the left-hander has given up 13 runs, 12 hits and nine walks over 6 2-3 innings. To replace Parque, Tampa Bay selected right-hander Al Levine from Triple-A Durham. Parque underwent shoulder surgery in 2001. He was signed as free agent in January after going 1-4 with a 9.95 ERA in eight games with the Chicago White Sox last season.
  18. The Tigers are already down 6-0 in the 3rd inning with Dee Brown hitting a grand slam. Jeremy Bonderman got pounded again for 5 runs.
  19. http://www.startribune.com/stories/509/3813338.html The other thing I saw that was interesting was that Mike Mussina was a combined 18-2 against the Twins in his career with a 2.91 era.
  20. http://espn.go.com/minorlbb/news/2003/0409...09/1536256.html This kid is hot right now. He has retired 39 straight hitters he has faced!
  21. They changed the draft rules for the Euro-kid. As long as you are18 on draft day you are good to go.
  22. There has been so much ethic strife and just general war in Africa over the last decade, and we have done nothing aout it. The media doesn't pay attention because it doesn't sell newspapers. It is really a sad state of affairs.
  23. and faced with two more games against the Yankees, I think their magic 8 ball says "prospects not good"
  24. The Milwaukee Brewers benifit from the Kip Wells wildness last night to win their first game of 2k3. The Detroit Tigers are the only winless team left in MLB. And with hot KC coming to town, you have to wonder how long that streak could go to?
