Somehow STL got a player.

I would guess that Brebbia and DeJong are gone for sure. They are last minute type of players. Lopez, Moncada, ILoy and Wilson have no real chance at moving. The rest are varying amounts of maybes in the right situation.

We already got Nicky Lopez, what else is there?

We are talking about a 40 game improvement to get to .500. That's absurd.

Don't forget we let Kenny and Rick make draft picks and trades weeks before they got fired. (all though after the way its gone since, thank god)

And we benched Colas/Fletcher/DeLoach all year because of said trade value.

Fedde was $7.5 million for the entire season, 1/3 of that is like $2.5 million. Pham is $3 million, so a million there. Kopech appears to be $2 million, so 700k there. Subtract out the 800k total for three minimum wage salaries for 1/3 of a year and we are talking like $3.5 million in savings, depending on what the cash part of the deal looks like.

Trying to accumulate some system wide talent instead of two players who will be gone by the time the team is good again.
