I didn't think I was too bad until I stubbed my toe one day and said, "God damn motherf***ing f***ing s*** f***!" I try to tone it down more now.

I was half expecting there to be a picture of me in my Herbert Perry jersey.

As much fun as it would be to have everyone's blue-collar hero back, this just doesn't make any sense right now.

If Pods gets recalled, will Fields change his #?

QUOTE (YASNY @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 02:03 AM) I can't believe I just read over 3 pages of people arguing about what damn number Scott Podsednik might wear if he possibly gets called up. I was thinking the same thing. I think we're part of some sick practical joke, Yas. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 07:23 PM) Brian Anderson grinning like a fool was the highlight of that... Agreed.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 05:38 PM) I'm guessing if this guy just went to the Sox and said, hey, can you just pay the medical bill and we'll call it even... they'd do it, and all would be settled without having to sue. He may already have. You'd be surprised. That's exactly what happened in the McDonald's coffee case, and we all know how that ended.

"OK, I'm sitting down, relaxed and I've strapped it down." Brought a tear to my eye, especially since her grandmother had her saying, "Go Cubs" lat season.

I like it as I already did my own "Biggest Loser" deal, going from 245 to currently 190.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 10:49 AM) we should dress up like the chevy pride crew and use potato canons and launch s*** at his house. St John is 5 minutes north of me. Meet at my house?

I haven't been to more than a game or two each of the last few years, but I seem to remember the girls throwing the T-shirts.
-
Wow. 1.75 games into the season.

QUOTE (qwerty @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 01:40 PM) That is fitting considering he is nothing more than a minor leaguer, realistically speaking that is. Yeah, but he's our minor leaguer.

All this while I sit here unemployed since December 8th. Sigh...

Everyone knows there's no kissing on the lips. Didn't this guy see "Pretty Woman"?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 09:23 AM) Raining out opening day would be pretty impressive. I was there 5-6 years ago when it was 35 degrees and rained sideways for about two hours before they started playing. Yeah, I was there. It was Detroit. I was in the UD, and that was before it was enclosed. Holy hell was it cold!

Many times it depends where you are. My well is perfectly fine. I even had a softener salesperson tell me I didn't really need one. On the other hand, a half mile down the road is the Knights of Columbus hall and you can smell that water as soon as you walk in the door - and they've spent $5000 to remedy it. It's hit or miss. I'd say go drink the water yourself and have it tested. A well and septic system shouldn't scare you away from a good deal. Also, you shouldn't have to have it pumped all that often. If it's in good shape and you're not overtaxing it you should be fine.

QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 13, 2009 -> 11:01 AM) Not surprising...havent you ever seen what it did to Tobey Maguire? I know, very lame but couldnt resist.

Painting it silver would create jobs, would it not? F**k, paint the whole damned city! Why didn't Obama think about this in the Stimulus Bill?

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Mar 13, 2009 -> 09:59 AM) I'll continue to refer to it as "Sears Tower" as both a matter of habit and obstinacy. On the other hand, I have no problem calling the ballpark "the Cell" because: 1) I think that's a cool nickname, and 2) to me, there was only one "Comiskey Park." That's why I've never had the same disdain for US Cellular as I do for that other company that stole the Hoosier Dome.
-
QUOTE (kapkomet @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 02:39 PM) "RCA" Dome. And it's dookie. Not duke. Although, that's what I like to call Dookie University and Coach Mike Chezevskeeee. "You just made the list, buddy."
-
How about "The World"? How many times has that changed names? I always called the Hoosier Dome the Hoosier Dome even after that company that shall remain nameless stole it and ripped the real name out of the hearts of every Hoosier and then took a big duke in the hole in our chests where our loving hearts used to be. F**kers! I just recently bought my first product made by them, but did so with the government coupons for the DV adapters.

"No bear will attack and eat you." Yeah, but it might mate with you instead.

On the 4th try I finally got my boy! Andrew James (Yes, A.J.) was born at 4:50 this morning!

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 11:02 AM) Yes, actually, you can. If the private property owner calls the police and wants something done about it. The cars could also be towed at the vehicle owner's expense. Towed, I realize. Even responsible for damages, but ticketed? I agree it's not too bright to park in an empty lot, but this sounds like it was bait and even more so if it was owned by the city.
