QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 10, 2014 -> 02:09 PM) Holy s***, Lone Survivor. Intense. Pee before you see it, because there's not a down point to leave to do so. YES. Watched it this afternoon. It was incredible. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jan 11, 2014 -> 12:23 AM) What is up with the ending of Prisoners? Did you not like it? I thought it was brilliant.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 10, 2014 -> 12:51 AM) Once you get about halfway through S3, the show explodes and takes off until the very end. Very intense and crazy s***. You still get the feeling that characters are evolving. You get glimpses of crazy Walt and Jesse in and out of being on point and being a total junkie. I can't stand Skyler and her sister. And Saul is hilarious. What an awesome sleezeball. He reminds me of a video game character.
  3. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jan 9, 2014 -> 09:09 AM) That's awesome. I expect to lose Benjamin but I'm sure at least one of Freeman/Williams will be back at RB. Also hoping O'Leary comes back as well. I'm quite shocked Erving is returning though, he was possibly a 1st round pick. So Freeman and Benjamin are the only two left to decide. Jerningan is going, which he should, as he'll be a 1st rounder. Williams, Matias and O'Leary all coming back too. Offense should be filthy again next year. Winston back, 4 of 5 OL back with Barron easily sliding in to replace Stork. Depending on Freeman, RB should be loaded with some of Freeman/Williams/Green/Cook and maybe Pender? O'Leary is among the best TE in the country, which leaves the WR open for competition. Assuming Benjamin leaves, you have Rashad Greene, Christian Greene and then a lot of room for someone to step up. Isaiah Jones was a huge recruit and he's got the size to replace Benjamin. Travis Rudolph might get a chance as a true freshman. They're in on Malachi Dupre, who would be a HUGE get, and Florida commit Ermon Lane has been rumored to possibly flip to FSU too.

OK, so I've finally dug into Breaking Bad. I've finished the first to seasons. Starts off slow, but I like how it continually builds. I'm really enjoying it.
  5. I was never allowed to bench press growing up because I was a pitcher. But I love doing it at the gym now. Talk about instantly seeing results. There's nothing like a tight/sore chest a day or two after a lift. Having a big wingspan is such a pain in the ass though.
  6. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jan 9, 2014 -> 12:10 PM) There's kind of a little difference in attaching yourself to a team when you're 10 as opposed to when you are 30. 10 year old me was a total front-runner in 1999 when Weinke to Warrick was tearing up the country. I don't get it. What about people who go to a D2, D3 or community/junior college? Are they not allowed to root for other schools? I fell in love as a kid, and stuck with them through freakin' Chris Rix and Drew Weatherford and the failure that was Adrian McPherson. Not like I've been a USC, Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama fan over the last decade too.
  7. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 9, 2014 -> 12:13 AM) Wow, rocket science to disguise play calls. Frankly, fsu is stupid to not do it to begin with. But to think that's the only reason is silly, Winston and fsu played like s*** when plays were there in the first half. Congrats on the win, die hard fan that started liking them because they were good and had cool uniforms. Well earned. s***, I didn't know you were only allowed to root for schools you attended.
  8. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 8, 2014 -> 11:39 PM) What's your point? That FSU made adjustments by bringing out the towels in the 2nd half, and that Winston and the FSU offense dominated when the opponent didn't know what was coming? And that FSU has a lot of talent coming back next season? Is that ok? Or do I have to run the topics of my posts through you beforehand?
  9. Spring/Summer plans? It's ice fishing season for me, and the ice is about as good as it will ever be all throughout the Midwest.
  10. Dameyune Craig is Auburn's co-offensive coordinator. He was Florida State's QB coach from 2010-12. He helped recruit Winston. After FSU's 3-and-out to open the second half, the game broadcast showed a meeting between some FSU players and coaches and you can hear Kelvin Benjamin say "Dameyune calling all the plays!" Before Kelvin shouts that Dameyune Craig was calling out FSU's plays? 36 plays for 156 yards (4.3 yards/play). After? 30 plays for 229 (7.6 yards/play). Winston was 14/18 passing after that with 2 TD. Also great news today that FSU juniors Rashad Greene, Tre Jackson and Cameron Erving are returning for a senior season. So far, only James Wilder, Jr. has declared early. Jernigan and Benjamin seem likely to go, then it's up to Devonta Freeman and Karlos Williams. Tyler Hunter, one of the starting safeties to start the season, got a medical redshirt and will be back next season too.
  11. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 08:24 PM) Florida State kind of sucks. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) You know things are screwed up when you run a sweep on 3rd & 15 when your QB just won the Heisman. Auburn scores here and its over, FSU is so clearly outclassed it might be over anyways. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 08:35 PM) I'm ready to declare MSU the national champs. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 08:50 PM) FSU is in huge trouble now. Looks like the SEC domination continues. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 08:51 PM) Jameis getting a taste of his own medicine the way that Auburn is violating FSU. Page 184 of this thread is amazeballs. The last 5 minutes of that game had me s***ting bricks at work. What a freaking game. What a freaking win. 14-0. National Champs. Suck it, SEC. Tre Mason's Heisman celebration after his TD score now makes him look like such a damn fool.
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 7, 2014 -> 01:14 AM) You know, if they really want to get into the lottery, let Bynum play. Not a chance in hell. They will cut him by 4pm today. They have to in order to save the money and get out of the luxury tax.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 01:51 PM) That's what we used to do in michigan when our cars sat outside for days. I did the same thing in college up there.
  14. Worked yesterday and today. Company bought out a block of rooms for some employees last night for us to stay in free of charge.
  15. That was a really, really fun game. Happy for Raanta.
  16. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 08:54 PM) Kenneth Cole Black 60% of the time, it works every time. YES. This is one of my staples. My eternal trio: Guess Man, Kenneth Cole Black, and Gucci Guilty. I'm also down with most anything made by Yves Saint Laurent.
  17. QUOTE (scs787 @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 12:58 PM) I got DDP yoga, and a yoga mat yesterday.....When do I add yoga into a weekly routine? I also got 4 20lb plates as well, so now I have enough weight to work in dumbell exercises and barbell exercises without having to keep taking off and adding weight to one or the other. My home gym now features all the above, a swiss ball, a heavy bag, a stationery bike with the swinging arms, resistance cords, and a tractor tire. Anyone bored enough care to throw together a weekly routine for me? (my bench doesn't incline or decline) Take the tractor tire outside and swing a sledgehammer to it for an hour a day, alternating sides. Do that 7 days a week. Done.

    Job Hunt Thread

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 01:53 AM) That's exactly what I want to do, start in minor leagues and work up. I mean, I would take a job with a major league club, but it's not a goal I expect to achieve with my first job. I don't think I can do Mexican leagues though. What kind of position are you looking for? I spent the last two summers working in baseball.
  20. I've been stuck between 200-205 for a few months now. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but my goal for a while has been to get between 215-220 by putting on some muscle, but it just hasn't been working for me. My work schedule is totally screwing me, and I don't eat nearly as much as I need to be. It's frustrating.
