QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 01:05 PM) Cool. Ok, I got one and it's sorta obscure, I guess. "Three good buddies, a cop, the driver". Sounds sorta familiar, I will chew on it. Correct on song #109. -

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 12:51 PM) Lol! I'd never heard that. 109 I think is I always thought it was interesting too that the song was called "Badge". Still don't know why. Because George wrote "Bridge" on the sheet but Clapton couldn't read his writing. True story. -

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 12:02 PM) Being the dinosaur that I am I had better know #82: The billion year old carbon line is one of my favorite song lyrics ever. One more correct response gets the Bonus Songs unlocked. Sort of like a really low rent version of Guitar Hero. -
QUOTE (farmteam @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 10:56 AM) It blows my mind that I wake up on one side of the Mississippi River and spend most of my day on the other side of the river. Just weird, since when I was a kid the Mississippi was 3-5 hours away, the gateway to magical lands like Missouri or Iowa. Iowa really was a magical land back when I was of almost legal drinking age in Iowa (pre 1984 law change) but not even close in Illinois. My favorite two of the Quad Cities back then were the ones that would sell me beer.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 10:36 AM) PlaySumFnJurny brings the class grade up to a very respectable 88%. #84 is one of those songs everybody knows but the lyrics can be hard to recognize out of context. The Answer to #85 is marginally correct (The target lyrics are actually from the ) but I'll accept it because I wasn't sure if anybody would recognize that one. The cult status of this song among Chicagoans around my age is totally due to Jonathon Brandmeier picking up on the obscure song and making it a sort of party anthem. I will post 10 Bonus Questions once Team Soxtalk hits 90 correct answers and earns their "A" for the class.
