One would have to hope the silver lining is this. Rick knows this year is shot, that TLR walks at year end, and he gets a crack at a non-JR crony manager in the offseason. That being said, they still coulda been favorites for this division with a couple moves.

Agreed, at the end of the day he's ineffective at his job and is trying to save face and should be fired, but the same could be said for essentially every decision maker in the organization.

Rick is a joke, but he's part of a 4 headed monster of decision makers. He's certainly deflecting, but he's also giving the subtle reminder that he's feckless, IMO.

It'd be nice if Rick comes out and finally admits that he's cock-less, is paid to be the Jerry Krause fall guy, and that he's resigning.

Somewhere on this site in the off season I said I felt like the Sox were content on waiting on Colas and Cespedes and I was summarily dismissed. They're cheap and those dudes cost them money, I'll be shocked if they go big at a corner OF upgrade.

Yeah, I'm sheltered from a lot of the TLR clips in CA unless I go seek them out (which I don't do for obvious reasons). But that's a human being that has no fucking clue what is going on around him.
