Have a few distinct memories from that day, we sat near the Yankees bullpen and my Dad was yelling down at their pitching coach (Billy Connors) by first name trying to acquire a ball for me, my brain couldn't comprehend that my Dad just knew his name so I thought they knew each other and couldn't understand why Billy was ignoring him. The other is my Dad explaining to me that what we just saw was likely never going to happen again. Think I actually still have the ticket stub somewhere around here.

Sox are currently dead last in walks and OBP after finishing 4th and 3rd in those categories last year. Clearly Menechino felt the Sox were too patient last year and wants them to be more aggressive on pitches in the zone early in the count. He and anybody involved with this YoY change needs to be fired yesterday.
