What does Collins do at a major league level? He's had his chances, time to move on.

This let's sleepwalk into the playoffs and swing at every first pitch attitude this series has been a little concerning.

Cesar Hernandez traded to White Sox, Konnor Pilkington to CLE
JoeCredeYes replied to KrankinSox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
A good compromise is when both parties are unhappy. Less Leury and Dickman, lots of power for a 7-9 hitter, I'm a fan of the deal. -
Was really impressed with how he managed Kopech through his two innings with minimal damage last night, might be able to deal with the zero hitting ability if he can manage the staff like that.

Last 28 Days Player A - .309/.396/.433 - 2HR, 4RBI Player B - .312/.346/.584 - 5HR, 17RBI Player C - .313/.403/.516 - 3HR, 18 RBI Are we sure we even need a 2B? The bigger hole to me is RF/DH/C. Eloy fixes the DH hole especially vs LHP, now go get Gallo and let's win this effing thing. A = Frazier B = Escobar C = Soxtalk Legend Leury Garcia

Stuck in the office today, how'd Seby look behind the plate?

Glad it happened now, Sox need to seriously think about bringing Rodon back as Giolito will no longer command the deal he was in line to get. Roll the dice with Gio thru his arb years as they'll likely be much cheaper now and see if he can adjust to no longer cheating. By then we'll know what Cease's true ceiling is and if he's the better long term investment than Gio.

If Yaz is out long term the Sox should acquire the best defensive catcher they can, and make the deal for Gallo. You can't really replace Yaz outside of a handful of C's in the league that franchises aren't letting go, but you can come extremely close to replacing his offensive production with a very similar stat line that also fills your RF hole.

Burger Called Up, Eaton Activated, Burdi/Yermin Optioned
JoeCredeYes replied to DirtySox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I feel like Yermin has a bad case of the "caught in betweens" as Hawk would describe. Hope he can regain the timing with more consistent ABs. -

WTF was he doing throwing an 0-2 fastball to a guy that couldn't hit a LH breaking ball with a fucking oar. -
Giolito has thoughts about Donaldsons comments
JoeCredeYes replied to Heads22's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yeah totally agree. I mean frankly as a fan this is kinda fun as I've despised the Twins since like 1999 and would gladly like some more fodder to feed my irrational hatred for Minnesota Twins colored laundry. Now is the time to just shut up and beat their asses on the field. -

Yeah, having Daddy fight your battles on Twitter is a pretty pathetic look. Lucas should keep his mouth shut and direct his focus on commanding a 3rd pitch. -
Not the first time you've said this...explain to me how a 23 year old guy with 55 MILB games under his belt that is currently mashing LHP, in the process of learning 2 new positions and being exposed to/learning the best pitchers on the planet, and more importantly those in the League he will eventually and currently compete against on a daily basis has the ability to turn off his development switch. Like wtf does that even mean? You should say what you really mean, he hasn't shown incremental month over month growth against RHP that you find to be satisfactory enough to demand a lineup slot on a team that currently sends Yermin Mercedes to the dish in the 5 hole on a nightly basis. Get over it, Andrew stays.
-
Sox need healthy, professional hitters in their lineup ASAP. Everybody is slumping/hurt right now except for Grandal, who doesn't have the ability to carry a team offensively. The staff has been great, but who knows how that changes after today's enforcement update. I think Escobar makes tons of sense as long as he's healthy and cheap. You've got a pretty favorable schedule to end the first half here, use it to get healthy and get these guys "right" and figure out if that's enough to make a deep playoff run. If not, you still have a few weeks to add more pieces before July 31st.

Yerminator campaigning for HR Derby opportunity
JoeCredeYes replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Don't know how you can keep trotting him out there, especially against righties, and especially batting behind Abreu. At least get Lamb in there against RHP at this point and/or let's see what Burger can do in the bigs and send Yermin down to try to get right. -
Have we all moved on from Joey Gallo? I know he HITS lefties better, but he still walks a ton against RHP with pop and is a + corner OF with CF ability in a pinch. I'd much prefer him over Schwarber, he'd likely cost more, but how much more? My dream scenario is Escobar/Frazier (Fraz going to cost more, fine with Escobar) AND Gallo. I'm thinking the below is rock solid and an embarrassment of riches should Eloy and Luis come back this year. This assumes an Eaton DFA or move to bench role and the inevitable removal of the entirely worthless ballplayer Yermin Mercedes from the organization (Yeah I said it). Escobar replaces Mendick Gallo replaces Yermin vs RHP 1. Anderson - SS 2. Lamb - DH/RF 3. Moncada - 3B 4. MVPito - 1B 5. Gallo - RF/DH 6. Grandal - C 7. Vaughn - LF 8. Escobar - 2B 9. Billy Boy/Leury - CF vs LHP 1. Anderson - SS 2. Escobar - 2B 3. Moncada - 3B 4. MVPito - 1B 5. Vaughn - LF 6. Grandal - C 7. Gallo - RF 8. Engel - CF 9. Leury/Lamb/Billy - DH

This. Inexcusable to have Marshall in vs a righty in that spot.
-
It'd be nice if Jose didn't have Yermin Mercedes batting behind him. Let's go ahead and slot Grandal in the #5 slot regularly please.
-
These look like some off brand knockoff junk you would find at Kohl's, hard pass.

I've been here just as long as you, Yermin hasn't had competitive ABs in a month. Can he bounce back and adjust to the adjustments made against him? Possibly, his track record doesn't suggest it is likely.
