  1. Why is nobody talking about how TA pimped that HR? Was wonderful.
  2. Flippy McFlipperson. Was a hell of a batflip there from Anderson.
  3. Been saying that for a couple years now.
  4. Now Mazara just bought himself another season lol.
  5. Yeah, that's where I was going with this. Unfortunately for Robert he doesn't have time to make counter-adjustments like Eloy did last year. I think if he had a full 162 he'd do it.
  6. Yeah but it's not even starting in the zone. What is it something like 0.4 seconds to react for a 95 mph fastball?
  7. Rookie struggles. The Sox have not had even one of their highly touted prospects come up and just consistently rake/shove. Hopefully Vaughn or Crochet could be that guy. If neither does then fuck then.
  8. WTF??? Why are they swinging at breaking balls up the 1B line?
  9. No, I was talking about the baseball opinions. I agree with Bauer about the Astros "punishment" being a joke. What they did is right there with what the 1919 Sox did. I was unaware of the political stuff until today. People can evolve, and maybe he has since then.
  10. I like most of his baseball takes. I typically don't follow people with his off the field takes on twitter but most of his baseball stuff makes up for it. Despite my very strong political opinions my best friend is a polar opposite of me on that front and we get along fine. That topic is off limits and we otherwise like each other. I like that he chooses to be himself even if I disagree with some of his takes.
  11. The baseball stuff=good Other stuff=not so much.
  12. I'll never understand how an established MLB hitter like Abreu could swing at that pitch.
  13. Especially with a child involved.
  14. Sox have proven they don't fuck around with that shit when trying to win. It's go time. Wouldn't shock me if Vaughn made the team out of ST next year.
  15. Also, if he can get MLB hitters out from the bullpen they can go the Chris Sale route and stretch him out next year to start.
  16. Can't wait to see him pitch. I was the ringleader of the draft Crochet train. I'm telling you guys he'd have been a 1-1 candidate if there was a college baseball season.
  17. 6-8 months is what I hear. I had it in march, and I can only go on my own experience but I'm just starting to feel better now.
  18. I think the pulling off is him trying to compensate for the lack of natural power he has this year.
  19. Dude it's definitely Covid. He has a slugging percentage below .400 for the first time in his career. Even when he was bad over the first 2 seasons of his career he destroyed baseballs on occasion. That's not happening this year. He has had 1 HR since the first 10 games of the season. He started out on fire so you know it's still there. Last year Moncada was in the top 10 in baseball for average EV. This year he's in the bottom 20%.
  20. Dan Szymborski argues otherwise. He claims Front offices will only put together 80-85 win teams from this point forward, because now that it's so easy to get in, there's no incentive to improve from an 80-85 win team to a 90 win team. Not only does he claim it, he has claimed that front offices contact him for his analysis just for things like this. He's an industry insider and he knows how it thinks as a sabr guy.
  21. What they're(the owners) are actually doing is saying: "We don't want to spend enough money to win 90+ games anymore" This actually sucks, because I am and always was for straight leagues where the best 2 teams make the playoffs in each league. I am for the pre-1994 format. Less is more when it comes to the playoffs, in both baseball and football.
  22. If they do this permanently, it might as well be throwing 30 teams into a lottery machine and having one ball spit out-"that's your champion" Go read Dan Szymborski's twitter thread on this.........he nails it.
