  1. If they get out of the 1st giving up only one run it completely changes the game. If the Sox still score 5 runs, they win because Leury was directly responsible for 7/10 runs last night. You give that lineup 4+ extra outs you're going to pay.
  2. Really. Grandal was awful tonight. I thought he was supposed to be a good defender WTF? Seems bad at calling a game too. If Keuchel gets shelled tomorrow cancel the season.
  3. I take it personally because of all of the shit I got from everyone in 2018 for saying there was a good pitcher in there. Don't want to get more shit about it. If he sucks again I'll eat crow, but that was my opinion. I have a lot of cub fan friends and every bad start feeds the trolls.
  4. Yeah we have a problem on our hands. Have to hope that Cruz and Donaldson get old next year otherwise it's going to be hard to overtake them. I'm more pissed about having to deal with Cub fans I know trolling about Giolito than I am with his bad start tonight. The Twins are going to kill lots of good pitchers.
  5. I'm not that worried. The stuff is still there, he'll be fine. Bad game against a great offense where his defense and the umpiring did him zero favors.
  6. As the other guy said, Leury singlehandedly lost this game for the Sox. Also, Giolito could pitch well the rest of the season and his numbers will still look like crap because of this game because the season is only 60 games long.
  7. I don't necessarily think Bad Giolito is back. I'd give it more than one bad game against a great offense before writing him off. I'd be more worried if he came out throwing 91 mph like Nola did. Also, 3 of his runs are on Leury.
  8. Watching Phillies-Marlins on MLB.TV and Nola's fastball is back where it was when he was at LSU. Not good for Philly. He's sitting 89-91 topping at 92.
  9. Trout's wife is a lot farther along than Kopech's. It makes a huge difference.
  10. Yup.....Congrats to the Kopechs. I'm also glad it was this rumor that turned out to be true rather than the other one.
  11. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BAL/BAL201504290.shtml They lost 8-2 and Samardzija gave up all 8 runs.
  12. Samardzija got shelled I remember that much.
  13. Really? Oh shit, then that's a bigger deal than I thought. idk what happens now....this could kill the season. That would make it ~3 weeks from exposure to positive test.....that's not good.
  14. Apparently Soto tested positive a few weeks ago, came back with the team for a week or so and then tested positive again. This should not be news, as these things happen. He could be completely over it and non-contagious, but has virus fragments in his system that triggered a positive. This kind of stuff has been happening for months, it shouldn't be a surprise and MLB should have thought of this very situation in their return to play protocol. It's not a brand new positive so it's not as big of a deal as it would have been if it was.
