Eloy is going to get better too, but they're not winning jack shit with only 3 or 4 power threats in the lineup. Most good lineups have 7+ hitters that can take you deep.
But we've learned enough about baseball that the guy who wins the batting title has probably had a lot of batted ball luck. It means nothing. I don't think even players take it seriously anymore. So a guy had a good season and got lucky in the process. Big deal.
Giolito has the opposite problem this year that he had last year. He's pitching well, but having issues with run support. Last year he was pitching like crap and they'd always hit in his starts.
Nope. I don't think that anyone cares about a player winning the batting title anymore. I think we've moved beyond that in terms of baseball knowledge.
Its because they didn't change up the pitch selection the 2nd time through the order. Anyone with half a brain could have gone into their next AB looking high fastball.
