No. He said they're going to be more aggressive. That means nothing unless they actually land someone. It could mean anything and is more lawyer speak bullshit. He should just STFU about the offseason until they have a presser to announce a signing.
I'm just happy that he turned it around and went from bust to boom. He was really bad last year. He's done some stuff grip wise to help with his FB spin rate as well. The stuff he did is right out of the Astros pitching lab playbook.
I always believed in him but there were times I felt like I was wearing the dunce cap defending him still getting starts with the Sox.
I'm a sucker for pitching. I enjoy watching pitchers perform their craft. I've always considered it the most cerebral position on the baseball field along with catcher.
Why? I find this funny. To be honest, I don't think he would have ever been this good without changing his arm swing and shortening it up. The talent was always there, but that adjustment has really unlocked his TOR potential.
His rookie year is looking a lot like Moncada's first full season. I think he's going to make a huge jump next year, just like Yoan did this year. The talent is apparent.
So does anyone else thing a good goal for Giolito is getting his ERA back under 3.00 by the end of the season? Do you think he can do it? It's at 3.39 entering tonight.
Dunning should be MLB ready by July unless he completely loses his command after TJS. It happens to some. I understand why you say we can't count on them but Giolito/Cease/Bumgarner/Lopez/Kopech and Nova as the long man should be enough to get by.
That rotation has the potential to be absolutely awesome.
