  1. They'd have to pay half the contract and get nothing. You ok with that? I'm not against trading anyone on this roster, but I'd prefer to do it when the player has value. I don't think Moncada will be this bad next year. I'd even trade Robert , Vaughn or Cease for the right price.
  2. I know. It's the hardest feat in sports. We only know about the swing change success stories. I'm sure there are many more who tried and failed.
  3. Idgaf about raw power. Avi Garcia had great raw power. Moncada has great raw power. Their game power is average and that's all that matters. Vaughn is in a similar category. Fixing launch angle while maintaining an MLB swing isn't easy. They can all hit 450 ft HRs but they don't hit enough of them.
  4. Listen man, I respect your opinion. I'm a huge "flags fly forever" person, but this team ain't it. Last year would have been the time to do that, but the farm was in even worse shape.
  5. He doesn't have enough power for 1B/DH. Hopefully there's a sucker that doesn't know.
  6. There are no excuses. He has a job, and he does it terribly. There are 3 other people in the room though. We're stating facts, not making excuses. If Hahn is feckless(he is IMO) that's his choice to be a weasel and hide behind his bosses. More reason to fire his ass. If he had any cojones he'd have resigned years ago.
  7. If I had to guess, he's the low man on that totem pole. Not as a defense of his fuckery, but just as an observation. He'll probably get another job in baseball because he can hide behind Jerry, Kenny and Tony and there is some truth to it. He doesn't deserve another chance though.
  8. I'm seriously questioning my fandom as well. I already tried to switch teams in hockey and that didn't go over too well. I watched another team and couldn't get invested.
  9. I'd go to a game just to start a fire Tony and a fire Hahn chant.
  10. Yeah I believe Samson when he said that. Everything that has been done over the last 20 years points to it. Actually, the fact that they caught fire and won the whole damn thing one year just reinforced it.
  11. Hahn's going to say they didn't have any money.
  12. Is it possible that other teams didn't think much of what the Sox had to offer?
  13. Expecting them to sell was unrealistic, even if it was the correct course of action. This was the best case realistic scenario.
  14. 30-45 mins usually. By 5:45 we should know.
