  1. This bottom third of the lineup is pathetic, but what else do you expect during a rebuild?
  2. Yeah, he's not going to garner an offer worth trading him for. Their only chance of doing anything is if Bummer and Colome are packaged together. Otherwise, they're going to stand pat. Colome alone won't get much either.
  3. I'm with this guy on McCann, but Fathom has a valid point as well.
  4. McCann just got blown away by 3 straight 90 mph fastballs....yeah the honeymoon is over. The Sox need a starting quality catcher next season.
  5. I want Strasburg but Bumgarner is probably the realistic target. The chances of the Sox landing a pitcher represented by Boras are slim to none. Who am I kidding?
  6. Ozuna is a LF only. He hasn't the arm for RF. Pederson doesn't have the arm for RF either, but he can play CF and Robert could play RF if it came to that.
  7. Ricky has it so close with Moncada, he should switch him and Abreu. Moncada 3rd and Abreu 4th and I'd like this much better. Jay should be 1st or 2nd because he sees lots of pitches and gets hits, but has no power. When Eloy and Timmay come back, I'd go: 1. Garcia 2. Jay 3. Moncada 4. Jimenez 5. Abreu 6. Reed 7. McCann/Anderson 8. McCann/Anderson 9. Sanchez
  8. The fact that this is true and they still didn't go the extra mile for Machado or Harper makes me think that maybe they're content raking in the cash and will only shop at the bargain bin or the dumpster. Maybe it might be that they have to severely overpay to land FA.
  9. I wonder: could this single TDL create a situation where inaction becomes the norm for a few years? I'm wondering if GMs know what to do and what to pay for rental players.
  10. Moncada is a much more valuable hitter and is pretty damn good at 3B though. Baez has more game power but Moncada has the better OBP and avg. They're closer than you think, and for god sakes Ricky, Let Moncada run!
  11. Probably Acuna, Soto or Tatis Jr. If I could perform a Jedi mind trick on AA, Preller or Rizzo on Hahn's behalf to make one magically on the Sox tomorrow, I honestly don't know which guy I'd pick.
  12. The Indians played .800 ball from 7/1/2005 through the Crede Walkoff game. That is insane. The Sox played .520 ball and nearly got caught. I don't think they've done that this time around.
  13. Holy Shit.......They had a 12 game lead at one point. That's quite the chokejob, especially against a Cleveland team missing Kluber and Clevinger for most of the year. Clevinger is back, but Kluber isn't.
  14. Jesus H. Christ dude, lighten up. My comment was in response to your comment that you don't like laughing at anyone's failure.
  15. Wtf dude? When I made the fun bad comment it was a generality, not directed at anyone or anything. I don't think that Cease is fun bad at anything. I do think it's funny when pitchers don't know where anything is going. The Rick Vaughn comment was intentional hyperbole to try to get you to lighten up. I hope for your own sake that you're 25 years old or something. Life is a joke. Laugh more, worry less. Ambition and success aren't everything in life. I thought so in my mid 20s, but then I grew up. That worldview is incredibly counterproductive.
  16. His command is right now. He's Rick Vaughn out there atm. Sure he's important. He's gotta learn though.
  17. Not laughing at him directly. Have you ever heard of "fun bad?" When a team or player is so bad at something that it is funny?
  18. I choose to find entertainment in a comedy of errors when my team is bad.
  19. You're taking life way too seriously dude. I used to be like that, it just makes for a miserable existence. Life is about failure, learning from it, improving, and laughing about how dumb and naive you were. If you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at?
