  1. I almost didn't watch tonight because Gascan Banuelos was starting. However, 4 absolutely putrid starts skew Banuelos's performance.
  2. Eloy is coming around, Moncada was starting to get hot before his injury (hopefully he stays hot after he returns) and we can all start to dream about a 2020 playoff appearance. Injuries notwithstanding, everything that went wrong in 2018 is going right in 2019.
  3. According to my math, both of the last 2 HR went over 600 ft, but that isn't taking drag into account
  4. That had to approach the park record. I don't believe it only went 462. It had to be at least 490.
  5. Or Robert. He has LTP too. And we've seen Moncada flash LTP. Eloy, Robert, and Moncada will the the President, VP, and CEO of the South Side Lumber company
  6. I thought it was damn near Borchard's. That had to approach 500 ft.
  7. No you don't, the NFL has a streaming option now, similar to MLB.TV
  8. I just checked the Charlotte rotation's stats and the 4 guys not named Cease have an ERA of 7.50 or higher. In AAA.
  9. It actually is unreasonable if you've seen the Charlotte rotation. The have nobody better sadly
  10. It was worth a shot, he sucks, we can move on when Cease is ready
  11. The Charlotte staff has an ERA like Banuelos in AAA.
  12. Who's going to pitch in his place? I don't disagree, but they don't have anyone. If they think Cease isn't ready, they have a problem.
  13. If it wasn't a secret, why did he last until the middle of the 1st round?
  14. Any system that involves the fans, unfairly benefits the Sawx and Yanks.
  15. I already did. Games were more competitive, series were more competitive, the 3 peat LA Lakers in the early 2000 overcame 2 20 point deficits in the 3rd quarter of consecutive 7s in 2000 and 2001 vs the Blazers and Kings respectively. There were points in series where the outcome was in question. GSW is down 3-2 but I still won't believe they'll lose until they do. This is just off the top of my head. The 1998 Bulls had to play 7 games to beat the Pacers, and a lot of games were close. Losing Durant should be a death blow to a team, the fact that GSW can potentially win a title without him, is an indictment of exactly how anti competitive the NBA has become. Btw in the 7 game series between the Bulls and Pacers in 1998 3 of the 7 games were decided by one possession, 6 of the 7 games were decided by fewer than 10 points. Go look it up. That kind of competition doesn't happen in the NBA anymore.
  16. The Bulls used to wipe the floor with other teams but IIRC the Heat, Knicks and other top teams had some competitive series in the 1st round. It just seems like the talent was more spread out then while it is more concentrated now. Players never went out of their way to team up with other good players, it just happened. Shaq was signed by the Lakers and they traded Divac for Kobe. They didn't know Kobe was going to be that good. The Bulls traded Shawn Kemp for Pippen at the draft. You could argue the Rockets were the first when Drexler left Portland, but that is pushing it, as he and Olajuwon were college teammates. In a 5 game series, 4 games is competitive if 3 are close, and they were more often than not.
  17. I interviewed with them, didn't make it.
  18. Agreed, and I wouldn't trade either Abreu or Colome for Cordell/Medeiros types. If I were the Sox, I'd use the TDL to get a head start on 2020. If there are any potential long-term pieces to grab from other teams, go ahead and do it, but otherwise stand pat. I wish Carlos Rodon were healthy and pitching well because I would have loved to try to nab Kyle Tucker from the Astros for him.
  19. I was hearing he was going to be a fairly hard sign.
  20. What are the odds that they can't get Dalquist to sign? 25%?
