BTW, I like Vaughn's bat too. I believe that arm/field/run tools are significantly less volatile going from amateur to pro than the hit and power tools. Hit and power are the most volatile tools for a position player going from amateur to pro and that fact is why I view him as incredibly risky. I'd rather draft someone with insane upside that is capable of playing a position. A corner OF can be moved to 1B. So can a 3B or catcher. I've never questioned his current bat skills.
I tend to believe in toolsy players with huge upside over safer players. It's a numbers game. The more of those types you draft, the more likely it is that you hit the jackpot. Same with pitchers. I believe in stuff guys. I believe you go upside in the 1st round and balance it with with safer players in the later high rounds.
I think the Os are going to take Adley and try to lowball him and use the injury as an excuse. I think it is worth it to them because should he not sign, they'll have 2 of the top 3 picks next year, if not the top 2. They actually have all of the leverage because they're so bad that they could just take him again next year and get him for even less. They could straight up tell him to take it or leave it because they're likely to have the option to take him again next year.
Be prepared, because people have to get paid, paywalls are the future of the internet. It won't be long before you have to pay to read just about anything.
If they don't beat net neutrality, they'll just paywall everything.
Giolito and Colome are locks. The rest are in a tough spot. Gary Sanchez would probably make it because jankees. McCann and Abreu probably have the best shot among position players because of weak competition. It will be tough for Moncada and Anderson because of stiff competition from those guys.
Game threads are me reacting to what's going on in that game that day. If he was going 0-4 with a sombrero of course I'd rip on him for that. I ripped on Konerko when he'd GIDP with RISP. I'm non-discriminatory in GDT. If you suck, you suck.
Don't you remember the "nickname" GIDPPK?
