  1. I made a joke as well, as Simpsons already did it is a South Park episode
  2. Btw, Simpsons already did it is a hilarious SP episode. In my dirty 30 of SP episodes.
  3. In a perfect world, that is what an ok #5 does.
  4. I think Banuelos was injured. If he gets his ERA under 5 by the end of the season that's a win. He's probably an ok #5 starter.
  5. That said, raise your hand if you thought that the only Sox starters with an ERA under 5.00 on June 1st would be Giolito and Covey. Bueller? Bueller??? Baseball is a funny game.
  6. Ray Ray, what I meant is that you can take the same 30 guys in a draft class, stick them with all 30 teams and get 30 different outcomes.
  7. Toussaint would be nice. If you could get both him and Gohara, do it. If Zobrist retires, I'd imagine Kimbrel signs with the Cubs on Monday.
  8. That said, I'd rather grab Adonis Medina fron the Phillies. Which other contenders need a closer?
  9. Happ and Alzolay from the Cubs. I doubt that they'll trade Hoerner. Alzolay helps now because they can slide him in their rotation and it gives them another arm with upside. Happ gives them a competent 2B and RF.
  10. If I were the Sox I'd target SP, in particular LHP. Huge organizational need. I really like Colome, but the Sox can sign a closer in the offseason. Cash in now. Colome is likely to be the #1 closer on the market.
  11. My order of preference: Rutschman Witt (wishful thinking) Abrams Bleday Vaughn
  12. Moncada is getting behind 0-2 seemingly every AB again. I don't know what he can do as it seems like he's just getting aced. What was he going to do with those two pitches? They were perfect.
  13. Good read https://www.theringer.com/mlb/2019/5/30/18645138/mlb-draft-andrew-vaughn-first-baseman-cal
  14. No. That gets one banned from baseball
  15. I tend to believe that it is both, but luck has to do with whether or not a player clicks with the instructors at the minor league level. I truly believe that someone like Carson Fulmer could have been a good pitcher elsewhere and likewise there is a possibility that Tatis Jr never ascends if he's not traded. Similarly, I don't think that Sale becomes a great pitcher elsewhere to start his career and I don't think that Giolito turns it around if he doesn't get traded here. Long story short, it all depends on the player and the org they go to. if the player development staff and the player themselves click, you have a good player. If it is a bad baseball philosophy fit, then it doesn't work. If you put the same group of players in a different organization, you have a completely different outcome.
  16. I could've sworn I saw that he was only interested in a 1 year deal with a contender in an article on the Athletic by Ken Rosenthal EDIT: maybe it was MLBTR I'll try to find it. I know I saw it somewhere I can't find it though.
  17. So is there anything that can be done with ReyLo to save his season or is this year a lost cause?
  18. While I wouldn't complain about them signing him next Thursday, I also have heard that Keuchel has no interest in the Sox.
