That window shut when they got zero superstars out of this group during the years that matter, but merely very good players. They needed Moncada to be Jose Ramirez, Eloy to be prime JD Martinez and Robert to be in a stratosphere of his own, even if not Trout. They needed one more pitcher to be as good as Cease has been this year. When those things didn't happen, the window closed.
