  1. Kopech was the Sox best starting pitcher up until his injury and it wasn't close. He dominated the Dodgers and Yankees. Kopech sucks is even more ludicrous than all of the Moncada sucks stuff from last year.
  2. Idk if they can afford to not pitch him in the upcoming stretch against Cleveland and Minnesota. Kopech is a completely different pitcher since the injury.
  3. They're in a really tough spot. If they IL him they might not be able to stretch him out for a full season next year.
  4. Kopech has been weird with his velocity all season. It's been all over the place from start to start.
  5. Is Kopech having trouble repeating his mechanics? Sometimes he's 93-94 and other starts he's in the high 90s.
  6. I'll never understand why more pitchers with fringe change-ups don't start throwing splitters. To me, it's worth the arm risk. Do these guys want to stick in MLB or not?
  7. Eloy should be optioned. He's under Mendoza in Charlotte. Let him find his mojo there.
  8. As much as Moncada crushed that 2B he looks like he's getting very little hip rotation. That could explain the power outage.
  9. Off topic, any hockey fans have an idea if this guy is actually Dylan Strome? I don't think so because this guy looks bald.
  10. Bo Bichette's nickname should be "The Bounty Hunter" because his name sounds like Boba Fett.
  11. I've listened to Holmes interview Hahn before and he tends to take it easy on him. One time someone asked him why he doesn't ask tough questions and he said that it's harder to book management when you do that, which really sucks. Taking heat in a season like this one should be part of Hahn's job description.
  12. Hahn on the Score with Bernstein and Holmes at 11:30 tomorrow. Any chance they ask tough questions?
  13. Anderson is literally the only guy in the lineup I'm excited to see up with the bases juiced.
  14. This is the first time in his career he's ever been better from the right side.
  15. No, it's just weird. I didn't think much about it having to do with his age. Most pitchers are pretty consistent velo wise over the course of a season. Even older ones.
  16. It's really interesting how Cueto's stuff is fluctuating from start to start. A few starts he's topping out at 94 mph, and others he's topping at 92.
  17. Yep. Anyway, to clarify Robert's relative lack of plate discipline is what annoys the crap out of me. He's still supremely talented but he needs to lay off the bullshit to get anywhere close to maximizing his talent. Also, it seems like the groin injury from last year has sapped some speed from him. He's not among the fastest players in baseball anymore, though still very fast.
